Ok worked this am with Rokland to determine 1 of 3 RAK devices has a bluetooth hw issue. Replacement(free) on the way. Hey, I mainly wanted to be sure I didnt noob the pooch on it. Asked some further questions and placed an order to build some solar/battery meshtastic nodes. Maybe first will be ready by time Starlink order arrives??

Down the meshtastic rabbit hole. Got LILYGO T-ECHO and was able to get it going then used DFU ipad app to upgrade firmware to 2.5.5. The three RAK 4631s were a mixed bag. One wont connect bt to set region. I got all three units up to 2.5.5 anyway. So 2/3 of those working with the techo. Had to do some upgrades on windows which caused some cussing. Main issues were usb cable and other issues w Mac Linux Windows. Got a decent overview and will go back and make sure to use each system with a device/filesystem for good measure. Early days....

Ok, took the plunge and ordered some Meshtastic hw. Should be fun

#nostr looking good so far but nowhere near the point I would consider dropping X. On X since 2009 and have 30+ carefully curated Private Lists each on an Area of Interest. Very high Signal, Very Low Noise. Being able to define a Topic List on #nostr, say #carnivore would be very useful to accessing the core content of the topic quickly. I just want 30-40 different Follow Lists is all. Shmaybe? #tta "Trust the Awesomeness"
