Death is undeniably dispreferable, but it’s (probably) alright 👌

Savers don't stand a chance.
The official inflation target is 2%.
This means the value of your savings is cut in half every 35 years.
And that's just when things are running smoothly.
The fact is, the inflation rate is rarely at 2%, it's usually higher.
Infaltion doesn't affect everyone the same. We all buy different things, so we all experience our own personal inflation rate.
You can track your personal inflation rate by monitoring the changes in price of the things you pay for regularly (food, bills, etc).
The annualised average change in price will reflect your personal interest rate.
Here are some recent U.K. price increases to put this into perspective:
1. Amazon minimum spend for free delivery: £25 > £35 = 40% increase.
2. McDonald's double cheeseburger: £1.49 > £1.99 = 34% increase.
3. Super market meal-deal: £3 > £3.50 = 17% increase.
Fiat currency is a scam, designed over a hundred years ago to slowly, undetectedly, siphon time and energy (in the form of money) from it's holders to it's creators - the central bank.
The rate at which your energy is stolen from you is the rate at which you are enslaved.
It's no wonder they don't teach banking or inflation in school 🤣
