Woke up at 6am to go for a long run. Thought to myself, I better focus on recovering. Next thing you know I’m drinking beers. Sometimes you just gotta. Not too much. But sometimes

When to stay and when to exit
“[the advice] Go hard or go home. [is from] the same people who burn out mentally or get injured a lot. The reality is that if you can make your work feel like play, you can work really really hard and you don’t have to recover as much physically and emotionally.” - Nike’s running coach. Also applies to normal white collar work too I think. It might sound a little cliche, but it’s cliche for a reason and as forgetful humans it’s important to continually be reminded
A merry Gm to all
I wish my personality would allow me to wear this shirt. I just don’t want to talk to people tho

Everybody I have met that went to a language immersion school say it sucked
Read James islington’s hierarchy books 1 and 2. The first was a little too basic. Orphan boy is good at fighting and super smart then goes to magic school. It read like so many other stories but tickled me just enough to read book 2. That book was really cool and unique imo. Read both books quickly and would recommend. Excited for the third book to come out. Now going to read “the devils” by Joe Abercrombie
I would like to go to chamonix is my life. It looks idyllic
Ran 42 miles this week! Probably the most weekly mileage in my life. We will see how well I can recover the rest of the weekend. Having a quality session Monday will see if I overcooked myself or not.
Reading books lowers your npc score

Happy weekend everybody
The amount of information available about training is insane now. It is a completely different world than 10 years ago. I have really fallen down the rabbit hole of how the body produces energy and recovers. I went from going 100% every workout and burning out to mixing it up and going easy a lot of the time. I can enjoy it now and see it as sustainable. At least it has been for the last year so far
