Welp, I finally decided to pull the trigger and run my own node. Love the learning experience of it all. Coming from a non tech background and just wanting to purely to be a good bitcoin citizen, I love the pride coming from adding to the decentralization of it all.
Running a raspberry pi 5 with umbrel. The initial sync does take a loooong time but so worth it.
Probably a silly question, but if you run a node, say on a Lenovo running windows 11, do you have to keep said node running all the time? Thanks for the value!

Super bummed today, had a trip to Uvita planned out months in advance only to get into a motorcycle accident 5 days before leaving. Some gnarly burns for sure. I’m just glad to be okay! Bitcoin jungle I will be there next year!
