My best friend was laid off Friday, and it looks like the company may be cutting each domain down to a skeleton crew in preparation for a sale. I have kids with special needs, so waiting around to see whether I’m next isn’t a risk I can take. I’m officially back on the market. I’m not looking for a handout. I’m looking for a company that values what I bring: ownership, late nights when they matter, fast incident response, sound judgment, and genuine alignment with the mission. I’m a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer—or whatever we’re calling the Linux, build tooling, automation, containers, and Kubernetes monkey this year—and I’m looking for a job. If it’s #Bitcoin related, even better. That’s where my passion is. I’ve built and maintained Linux infrastructure at every scale: Navy weather-forecasting compute clusters, airline reservation and flight-management systems, large payment platforms, and mission-critical hyper-secure military systems. I’ve also operated LLM workloads in the cloud, and I’m ready to help tame the chaos that follows when developers are given powerful AI tools without equally powerful guardrails. We’ll probably use LLMs to help solve that problem, too. I bring order to chaos, improve security posture, increase reliability and throughput, and build tooling that helps engineers move faster without setting the building on fire. I find that #wisp on android loads a lot smoother than other clients. I find that note media expansion makes me lose my spot all the time on other popular android clients. Wisp does freeze up sometimes though.
