Julia Gillard, Australia's first female Prime Minister oversaw an amendment to the Sex Discrimination Act that effectively removed the rights of women to sex-based spaces. @Sall Grover has exposed this, a private citizen doing the work that the Government should be doing. I like to think that Julia and the Labor Government did not foresee what this would do to women's rights. It has been the most regressive act and will be Julia's legacy. I am furious. I voted for her and Labor since. I am waiting for her to stand up and apologise at least. Labor was supposed to be the party for women. It was all a sham. I have fully peaked and find myself aligning more and more with politicians I once despised (conservatives).
