Watching the US election from a distance, a lot to learn.
What’s striking to me is the low IQ level of the political debate.
I guess the assumption is that americans would be swayed by the celebrities experts on both side of the scale.
I hope, for the world’s sake that they don’t.
I can’t swear by it but I wouldn’t imagine J. Lo or Pappy Diddy sitting there, pen in hand, doing their taxes or assessing geo-politics matters.
Yet celebrities are the ones out speaking for their respective muppet.
No professors, doctors, engineers, intellectuals and so forth on the stage but rather just dancing and singing prominents.
And your odd business tycoon, EM, with an obvious eye on lucrative future gov. deals intertwined with a healthy preservation instinct.
So all the ingredients for a shitshow, a telenovella which affects the whole world.
Hope for all’s sake that americans smarten upp soon, no matter which muppet they choose.
The real matter is the IQ of the elections, the education, mentality and skills of a society choosing their leader.
Chosen mupp can only be a reflection of the society which chose it.
Right now, it looks bleak to me.

A bit of a long post, and possibly controversial too.
I ponder for a couple of days wether I should write it or not.
The spat between Mr Musk and Brazil as well as the online reaction is interesting to me.
Now, don’t get mad, I’m only throwing some thoughts out there, I’ve got no agenda and no conviction on the matter.
Free speach is important but a few thing nag me about the whole situation.
I haven’t seen any news/ reports about massive demonstration in favour of X in Brazil. It seems like the internet community is more outraged about it than the directly affected brazilian people.
If X brings such value to them, they would surely react somehow.
Wasn’t Mr Musk accomodating India’s Modis requests about Twitter, not so long ago?
And wasn’t he in China just this year?
Not really bastions of free speach, neither of them.
Yet not much backlash online about these countries, as I recall.
It seems to me Mr Musk has clearly taken a political stance this year and there seems to be an axis between Trump, Modi, and Xi.
Wasn’t Mr Musk helping Bolsonaros gov in Brazil with Starlink, a few years ago?
Isn’t it strange that this feud online serves well to portray the brazilian gov as a supressor of the freedom of speach? Brazil is a BRICS country with a left leaning gov after somewhat contested election.

Just trying to understand what’s behind the curtain.
Mr. Musk didn’t seem to take the same kind of stand against India or China, why Brazil?
And why now? The spat has been going on for some time.
Is X piggy backing a bit on the wake of Durov’s arrest and using the online outcry that was created to pressure the brazilian gov?
Got no skin in the game, just hugely courious about the ways of the world.
Also think higly of Nostr, hence this honest post.
