I understand why people say “that’s not fair.” A person is dead, and that matters. I’m not arguing what should have happened, but how these moments are read in real time. When visibly armed federal agents feel defied, they prioritize immediate control, not hindsight.

When they feel outnumbered or vulnerable, responses focus on immediate control, not proportionality or hindsight. Explaining that isn’t justification. It’s describing how power actually functions, even when the outcome is tragic.

Liberals often argued that even if Biden were senile or debilitated, it didn’t matter because he had an experienced, competent staff running the White House. Fair enough. But that logic cuts both ways. If Trump is a clown or a buffoon yet surrounded by a powerful, effective team, then dismissing outcomes based on personality alone is analytically empty.
