I don’t keep my house clean by making it a huge project. I keep it clean by refusing to make it a huge project. If the toilet looks dirty and I have five minutes, I clean the toilet. I’m not “cleaning the bathroom.” I’m just cleaning the toilet. That’s it. Five minutes. Done. Same with laundry. One load a day. Wash it. Dry it. The next day? Take the dry clothes out and start the next load. You don’t even have to fold it immediately. Just keep the cycle moving. When you do one load a day, it never turns into Mount Laundry staring at you from across the room. And yes — my kids help. They have a short daily chore list: • Feed the dog • Take turns loading/unloading the dishwasher • Put their own laundry away Nothing dramatic. Just daily responsibility. When everyone carries a small piece, the house doesn’t crush one person. We also do a nightly 10-minute pickup. At the end of the day, we set a timer. Ten minutes. Trash gets tossed. Dishes go to the sink. Random stuff goes back where it belongs. You would be shocked at what you can reset in ten focused minutes. And organizing? Same philosophy. Last winter, I decided to organize one kitchen cabinet before bed each night. Just one. In less than a week, my entire kitchen was reorganized. Not because I had a perfect system. Not because I spent a Saturday in overhaul mode. Because I stopped thinking in “projects.” You don’t need a complicated cleaning schedule. You need a mindset shift: Stop waiting for a whole free day. Stop labeling everything as a big job. Stop assuming it has to be all or nothing. Small, daily, boring tasks build a calm house. And here’s the truth: consistency beats intensity every time. image

I absolutely love Silver Dollar City in the fall. We had the best time with friends this past weekend. However, as homeschoolers, we forget how busy it gets on weekends and especially during fall break. 😅 My son and I do not do well with crowds. 🫣🫣 When is your favorite time to visit Branson? It’s a toss up between Christmas and Fall for me. Is there a specific weekend that seems to be less busy? image

“Homeschool Day 47: The Principal Quit (Again)” Math teacher (me) lost her patience before 9 a.m. PE teacher (also me) made everyone run laps to burn off the crazy. The lunch lady (yep, still me) served cereal because “we’re learning about grains.” The janitor (take a wild guess) is ignoring the slime ingredients on the kitchen table because it’s “science”…🤪 #wherestheschoolbus #itsonlyoctober #homeschoolfun

How many different curriculums have you used over the years? I have to admit, I've lost count. This last year we've used IXL to supplement and assess our math and LA. It’s been such a great tool for pinpointing their strengths and areas that need a little extra attention. I love how it breaks down exactly where my kids are struggling. Whether it’s fractions in math or comprehension in reading, it gives me a clear roadmap of where to focus. Does anyone use IXL as their main curriculum? Or do you mix it in alongside other programs? How does it fit into your homeschool routine?

Maybe I’m doing something wrong. My kids get so upset when I strip them from their activity to do our school work for the day. My 10 year old said she hates learning. 😭 What? That’s not what I like to hear. Could it be she just hates learning something that doesn’t peak her interest? I’m taking some credit courses for bookkeeping right now and I think I’d rather watch grass grow. Let’s just say I empathize with her. 😆 Ugh! Anyone else experience this as a homeschooler? #homeschool #education

If you follow me, I will follow you back. 🥰 Just realized I hadn’t done that yet! This southern momma is trying to figure out exactly what I want to say on this platform. I made another post but not a single person has liked it. 😭 So, back to the drawing board… #newbie #southern #homeschooling #entrepreneur

✨ How I Stay Organized with Alexa as My Personal Assistant ✨ I know many of you might already do this, but I love how much Alexa can help me stay on top of my busy day! 🙌 She’s like my extra set of hands (or brain 🧠) to keep everything running smoothly. Here’s how I use Alexa to stay organized: 📅 Linked to My Google Calendar: Alexa announces my appointments and scheduled events throughout the day, so I don’t have to constantly check my calendar. No more running late—she gives me a heads-up when it’s time to leave for appointments! 🏡 Homeschool Routine: Alexa reminds us when it’s time to start our studies and keeps us on track with our learning schedule. I don’t have to be the bad guy. LOL! 🍽️ Lunch Reminders: Yes, even lunch is scheduled! I have a habit of forgetting to eat when I’m busy. 🌙 Bedtime Wind-Down: Alexa announces when it’s time for the kids to brush their teeth and get ready for bed. It’s such a relief not to constantly check my calendar or set dozens of alarms! Alexa keeps us on track effortlessly. 💡 Your Turn! How do you use Alexa (or another device) as your assistant? Any cool tips or creative uses around your home? Let me know—I’d love to hear! image

Hi! I’m new here, and honestly, a bit nervous to get started. I’m a homeschooling mom of two and run a small bookkeeping business. I’ve always been passionate about minimalism, organization, and finding ways to optimize my time. While I’ve never been comfortable creating TikTok videos, I’m excited to share on here what’s worked for me in balancing everything—homeschooling, running a business, and making time for what matters most. I’d love to connect, share ideas, and learn from others along the way. #introductions image
