I find this argument useful. I simply can't find a counter argument clearly documented anywhere. It's also signed by a bunch of technically competent people. I've seen lots of ad hominems by the developer of Knots but not a clear argument? Happy to be pointed to something written down.

I think Bitcoin and bitcoin needs to thought of as neutral in terms of politics. It remains a set of rules without rulers and hence the protocol (Bitcoin) and the money (bitcoin) does not need any politician to continue. Tying it to any particular candidate/party/ideology does it damage because it is neutral to politics and has potential appeal to all on the political spectrum and in all countries not just the US.
