Sue, when you mentioned getting into science fiction, my brain went straight to Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Left Hand of Darkness. Its people can take on male or female reproductive roles at different points in their lives, challenging the idea of permanently occupying one side of a gender hierarchy.Your emphasis on consent, diverse perspectives and companions as a bridge toward human connection got me wondering: could there be a “Left Hand of Darkness” mode?Imagine a companion whose memories and personality remain consistent while its gender presentation changes. Could that prompt someone to examine why they treat the same individual differently? Or might the more useful experience involve shifting the participant’s own perspective through something like virtual reality?As a retired teacher, I’m curious about the educational possibilities—and whether, with specialist guidance and research, something like this could contribute to rehabilitation for people who have committed sexual violence. Not assuming it would work, but asking whether it’s worth investigating.Respect wouldn’t require attraction to continue. It would require respecting the individual’s boundaries regardless.Has anything like this entered your conversations? Thank you both for an interview that gave me plenty to think about.

Sir, I just listened to this interview with Danny. My head is spinning. I promise to come back around to this, and, have you seen the work going into NOSTR? The Fountain podcast app as an example. The Value4Value model V4V (I think the branding is ongoing :-). I’m literally boosting 500 sats to make this comment. It does effectively control my own rage posting, makes me more thoughtful, and invested. I believe in my guts it could do the same for AI, the whole damn ecosystem.

Two thoughts the Local Bitcoiners pod maintains a ranking type roster, pretty sure it’s on GitHub, and B) I’ve doubled my streaming sats for your show, and a couple others, it’s a setting in Fountain modifiable for individual shows. Cheers
