That green halo over the sun isn't an edit. It's the rare "green flash."
This was spotted Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands.
As the sun sinks below the horizon, our atmosphere bends its light like a prism. Red fades, blue scatters, and for one or two seconds only green survives to reach your eyes.
It needs a clean, clear horizon over open water β which is why Hawaii is legendary for it.
Blink and you'll miss it.
