What’s next after Bitcoin, 100 years from now?

This lent, I’m reading a chapter of Sirach per day. Today I wanted to share Chapter 9 as I think these are proverbs even those who don’t attend church. The advice concerns women, choice of friends, and rulers. “Do not be jealous of the wife of your bosom, lest you teach her to do evil against you. Do not give a woman power over you to trample on your dignity. Do not go near a strange woman, lest you fall into her snares. Do not dally with a singer, lest you be captivated by her charms. Do not entertain any thoughts about a virgin, lest you be enmeshed in damages for her. Do not give yourself to a prostitute lest you lose your inheritance. Do not look around the streets of the city or wander through its squares. Avert your eyes from a shapely woman; do not gaze upon beauty that is not yours; Through woman’s beauty many have been ruined, for love of it burns like fire. Never recline at table with a married woman, or drink intoxicants with her, Lest your heart be drawn to her and you go down in blood to the grave. Do not abandon old friends; new ones cannot equal them. A new friend is like new wine— when it has aged, you drink it with pleasure. Do not envy the wicked for you do not know when their day will come. Do not delight in the pleasures of the ungodly; remember, they will not die unpunished. Keep away from those who have power to kill, and you will not be filled with the dread of death. But if you come near them, do not offend them, lest they take away your life. Oh man, guys: the hoops I just jumped through to send a UTXO consolidation transaction to myself using my hardware wallet (seedsigner). I don’t normally transact and probably made this way harder on myself than needed. I stack each paycheck, normally using cashapp. With fees ripping (at least, until now that I'm writing this at 822,443), I decided it was time to consolidate. I was withdrawing to a watch-only address in blue wallet and wanted to make sure I didn’t OVER-overpay on fees, so I decided to recover with a desktop UI. I went with Nunchuk since it seemed simple after a btcsessions session (shoutout). Except my laptop’s f*&^#$@ webcam can’t read the QR code. Whatever… I’ll enter the xpub by hand... and, there it is. No big deal. When the transaction is built, and I unsuccessfully sign with my device, I try to export to blue wallet and scan the PSBT with my phone. When I’m ready to broadcast, I get: Cannot read property ‘broadcast-tx’ of undefined ??? Anyone who posts in the blue wallet telegram group just gets bombarded by scammers, so I try to broadcast using my node, but bitcoin-cli can’t parse the json. Because f-you, that’s why. So I’ve got this transaction hex just sitting here. Okay, I’ll try one more time recovering the wallet on MOBILE nunchuk. Except I’m on an older version of seedsigner that can’t export to nunchuk via QR. Download new image, verify, re-flash… and I’m back in with the new seedsigner version. Building, signing, and broadcasting the transaction from here is a breeze. I even got confirmed in the next block! …guess I overpaid.

Good perspective. While we can use Bitcoin As freedom money, politicians can use it in various ways to serve their interests, which seldom overlap with yours :
