I once set up a new gmail account and twitter account, which would send me a notification if it ever got a DM.
My current boss bikes to work. I anonymously told him that he could DM that account if he ever had an embarrassing situation on the bike and I would pick him up and never tell a soul. True dedication to him.
He reported the email as phishing and told everyone at work about it. Ruining the offer of true loyalty.
If anyone knows a CEO who wants this level of dedication please let me know. #[0] i feel like you can help me
My current role is directly tied to “philanthropy”. Some voices in this space are starting to debate and even glorify AI, specifically ChatGPT and Sam Altman. What are the best sources anyone has on why he’s evil and fundamentally why scanning eyes is so dangerous.
#[0] can you help at all? I think you posted an article but I can’t find it.
#[0] posted a Hayek clip that got me reading some of his work. I found this quote from Adam Smith in “The Road to Serfdom” and found it relevant to the debate I see nocoiners trying harder to make, regarding electricity usage. If miners want to employ capital to pay for electricity, they should be allowed to.
“The statesman who should attempt to direct private people in what manner they out to employ their capitals, would not only load himself with a most unnecessary attention, but assume an authority which could safely be trusted to no council and senate whatever, and which would nowhere be so dangerous as in the hands of a man who had folly and presumption enough to fancy himself to exercise it.”
My bold prediction, I will die North of present day Mexico and South of present day Canada… but where I die will no longer be called the United States of America.
“Bitcoin is just a passing fad like tulips or beanie babies”
If there were only 21 million tulips, that you can instantly send across the internet without anybody stopping you, and thousands of people agreed and verified that there would only be 21 million tulips and that I had 1…
I would buy tulips
