Time to report in on what we’ve been up to at BTCHEL. When I’m heads-down building, my posting slacks. So here we go, no hype, pure results: 1. I held my first bitcoinstrategia.com workshop at the BTCHEL Hub, co-organized with investor club Falco. ~30 attendees, all TradFi investors. My workshop thesis is simple: paper bitcoin is worthless because it depends on the system Bitcoin is disrupting. Bitcoin investors must learn proper self-custody solutions to gain anti-fragility and avoid systemic risk. I coined the term “system diversification” to crystallize the argument. 2. Vibe-data-analysis with Claude, visualized at btchel.com/survey-results. Findings: - Most attendees in Bitcoin >5 years - 66% locals, 33% traveling to Finland for the event - Top priorities: Self-custody & security! (Treasuries being the least interesting topic this year) - Main reasons to attend: Networking, learning & community - New interests: Sovereign AI, Entrepreneurship, Health - Community stays bullish even in bear markets - 82% use Bitcoin as money at our events Bigger venue + structured networking coming. 3. We’re organizing BTCTRE, a one-day side event to one of Finland’s biggest TradFi conferences. Sijoitusmessut is Finland’s biggest single-day investment fair. Held in 20 May 2026, Tampere Hall, 2,400+ attendees. BTCTRE is right across from Tampere Hall at Lapland Hotels. Short Bitcoin talks, networking, and a relaxed afterparty. Register here: luma.com/z6vzwg53 Helsinki folks: something coming up for you too… luma.com/uag1aoid 4. I started a podcast with my co-host Klaus. Bunkkeri is a new Finnish talk show preparing for end-of-the-world happenings that never come. In peacetime, we explore societal change and tech through the lens of sovereignty. Bunkkeri offers a safe space for those who feel ideologically homeless in the current system. We’re bitcoiners, but this isn’t just another bitcoin podcast. It goes well beyond, aimed at people who value freedom, independence, and sovereignty. 7 episodes in and we’re at ~1,500 monthly active listeners, that’s surprising growth. Find our platforms at bunkkeri.org 5. Remember our mission: become the most impactful Bitcoin media in the Nordics. We’re already the most impactful Bitcoin event in our region. Now we’re increasing our focus on digital media, too, in order to deliver the best possible physical events for our attendees. Find media references: btchel.com/info With this goal in mind, I hired Joakim Book, an experienced journalist from Iceland with a sharp eye for our Bitcoin + Nordics Venn diagram. Previously working at Bitcoin Magazine, he’ll now lead our upcoming BTCHEL News & Articles publications. Which will all be available in Nostr, BTW! His writing: authory.com/JoakimBook Yeah, I know 🤣 It’s a lot for one month. Keep up via the newsletter: btchel.com/#sign-up The pic is from my workshop. DM’s open if you want to book one. It’s free! image

Two months ago, we started a new podcast called the bunker. It’s in Finnish, but I sure hope we get good enough AI dubs soon because it has been a serious banger. In the bunker, we do 3 hour long super deep dives into sovereignity, individualism, preparing for the worst, hope for the future, survival, cypherpunk tech, human action, and everything you can think sovereign individuals are interested in. This week we recorded an episode with the legend himself, Martti Malmi. In his own words: ”it was the deepest podcast I ever went to, and we covered topics that have never been covered before.” This is the way. Onwards and upwards 🪖⚡️ image

A memorial piece for a friend who just died by suicide. He went by the pseudonym of Mozzarella or Moz and was one of the friendliest, smartest and funniest bitcoiners I ever knew. If you ever feel like ending it, ask for help. And if you see a fella struggling, offer your helping hand. Luke 6:38: Give and you shall receive. The finnish bitcoin community will miss you Mozzy ✝️ image

I went to the Museum. First artwork is one of the most epic Finnish art pieces by Akseli Gallen-Kallela. "The defense of the Sampo" The second work is named "The theft of the Sampo" Sampo is a muthological object in the Finnish epic Kalevala. It is a mill or a powerhouse that creates wealth and abundance. Clearly Gallen-Kallela here is portraying the great efforts given by historical Finns to safeguard Sampo. Sampo = Bitcoin The Finns predicted it millenias ago.

Visited Milano recently. All the paint shops were on siesta when I arrived, had just a couple of hours time, so I used some cheap car paint that was sunoptimal for concrete. The wall sucked most of the paint in so it was super sketchy spot. I enjoyed the city. Last time I visited in 2016 during the arab spring crisis and back then the city was chaotic. Drug dealers formed a line in front of you at the arrival. Military police was patrolling around during the night. People were thrown out the train station. Now almost a decade later Milano was pretty peaceful and chill. I didn't see any signs of turmoil. It can be surprising if you only consume fear mongering, propaganda and rage bait from algorithmic suggestion medias. I love Italy 🇮🇹 Will be back some day. Ciao! image
