Update on my mining venture. The S9 at the hut is running smooth. It keeps the living area, kitchen and bathroom at a nice 10-14 degrees Celsius. This is a bit to high, and the total power used has gone up slightly. I thinks it is due to the heat not spreading evenly and it not replacing the other heaters 100%. Last days i have been working on an S9i that has a faulty hashboard. I removed the faulty one and are now solo mining with 2 boards in my basement. This might be better for the cabin, as it should draw around 900W instead og 1430. Might be better with a bit less. Back home! Miner is up and running keeping the cabin frost free :) I will keep tinkering with the other S9’s. Bitcoin Core is still downloading, been at it for nearly 3 weeks and are at 46%. Something must be wrong, but i will just let it so its thing and we will see. I am spending way more money on this than i will ever get back! I just did the short ski trip from the road to my cabin, about 1,5km in 20ish m/s wind and «snøfokk» you have a english word for that? About 2 meter visability. Had an S9, my laptop, cables and a smart wall plug adapter in my backpack. And 3 beers. Gonna get right into the sauna, stay the night, hook up the S9 tomorrow morning and head home :) short trip. Still downloading! 21%! Down and the rest to go :) Still tinkering away on the S9 project. I have desided to try one out with stockOS and see how much heat it produces at the cabin and how well it is spreaf around the rooms. Maybe experiment a bit with placement and airflow direction. Im hoping that it wont be to much heat, the ideal situasjon i would need just a slight bit from the regulare heater. In that case the miner could just run and i would have a seprate termostat to top off. If it produses too much heat i am considering removing one hashboard. Anyways, wont be able to go untill next weekend, you know, FIAT job, gotta keep the city warm. Ill keep you posted on the node progress! Hopfully in wont crash at 98% and have me start over. I am still on break from my S9s. I have dug out my old computer from storage. This will be my full node. It only has 500GB so i will keep the copy on an external 2TB disk. I wil first konvert my machine to Linux. Never had it before. I am on a learning mission now! Lets go! Btw, the machine is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium! #node #bitcoin #sovreign #nostr

I can not get BraiinsOS to run on my S9. Im getting frustrated with this. When i try to flash the SD card with the proper file using Balena Etcher, my computer crashes. If i use the Win32 program it dosent flash, just sorta copies a set of readable files onto the card, or something, it dosent look right. And it wont run. This wont really matter at the cabin. This matters somewhat in the workshop This is a dealbreaker for the house. I think my only real solution at this point is a newer model for the house? Like an S17 or S19? #bitcoin #braiins #mining #nostr
