Politics is one of those things that looks great on paper, but unfortunately is impossible for humans to implement with any lasting effectiveness. Technological innovations carry over from regime to regime, but the underlying political structures always collapse into subsequent systems. We make the same mistakes over and over again, each time with better technology. Just like Bitcoin was the solution to money, there has to be a solution to politics that exists outside our current models.
