#blog maybe it's karma from running some chaos circles around some new arrivals last time i landed, but tbh idgaf that someone tried to rob/scam me on both my arrival and my departure in city17. i found both occasions more entertaining than anything - both times i praised their ingeniousness and wished them to learn to steal better. if there's anyone at all worth investing in, it's certainly the destitute. that infrastructural services such as government and banks manifested as well-lit hospices for illiterate clerks is very sad but also understandable, not to mention a perfect opportunity to make animal noises at traffic cops. was it smirnenski who implied that the higher to rise in hierarchy the dumber one must inevitably become, because the only reason anyone ever enters a hierarchy is to dismantle it from the inside, except there's backpressure. what got to me was how uncomfortable the people i conducted fair trades with looked about selling me stuff at the announced going rates. that sure weirded me out. like i'd understand if they'd not liked to deal with me and told me to fuck off or whatever - it's free enterprise - at some point i was even openly like "yo i havent said anything dumb have i, lately i see people reacting in the weirdest ways, let me know if i'm being clueless", but as far as i can read people it was much more like a "why is a transaction in calibers like 6.5mm and 3.5mm even happening in december 2025, kid are you sure this is what you want to be doing" kind of thing. and uh well yeah. no blame. in 6-12 months since last seen, many casually familiar faces have begun to look multiple years of withered - like yeah i personally totally go for that look but all the smog, frost, and empathizin' with mainstream social media sure ain't doin' anyone's skin health any favors. i do wish i'd had more energy to get my shit done sooner and then hang out with more than 1 friend and do vandalism with more than 1 color but overall i got a lot of shit done and did not fall apart into a jumble of vegetables even once iirc
