Because what is cryptocurrency? Number one, permissionless. And we are begging governments to permit us to use a permissionless system?. See the contradiction, people. It is a trustless system because of the beauty of the mathematics that underlies and powers this system. And yet you want to trust an untrustworthy entity to permit you to use a trustless, permissionless system. This would be the definition of insanity if you were in a psychologist's office. John McAfee

When a few corporations control AI, they have unprecedented insight into our thoughts, dreams, and vulnerabilities through our conversations. They can shape recommendations, responses, and ultimately our perceptions in subtle ways we might not notice. Bad actors exist in any system, but centralized control means trusting a few entities with immense persuasive power over billions of minds.

Once you understand that we are moving rapidly toward a global totalitarian state with absolutely zero freedom and CBDCs that can be made to disappear after a while or restricted in their use, Bitcoin is not an obvious solution; a private, decentralized cryptocurrency is.

Isn't it funny that "price" isn't mentioned even once in the Bitcoin whitepaper? Almost as if the reasons for using it have very little to do with price, but with other qualities described by the author(s).
