Hey @Christopher David, how will I know if this is working? I’ve got my Alby account connected and I clicked “load model” but nothing appears to be happening https://gputopia.ai/beta

Don’t miss @Guy Swann‘s talk at Bit Block Boom! It starts at the 19 min mark, and this link *should* take you right there https://www.youtube.com/live/XxnziBTDivA?si=MFbNjaWk_a2Xw_yH&t=1140

“In an ironic if predictable twist, Christian love preaching that ‘there is neither, Jew, nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are on one in Christ Jesus,’ proved more scalable and durable than Roman force. A messy peer-to-peer Christian network fed mostly by the bottom-up adoption of ideas outlived the client-server model of a centrally-planned Roman Empire.” - Allen Farrington and Sacha Meyers
This is mesmerizing. Good background music for focused work or reading 👍 View quoted note →

My daughter turned 10 this week. Today she overheard me say something about Bitcoin and started asking questions about it. I explained why fiat currency is bad, focusing on the unlimited printing. When I told her governments can acquire money by either taxing us or by printing it, she immediately intuited “why do they collect taxes if they can just print everything they need?” My heart could have burst with pride. #FutureBitcoiner

Ok, I’ve got an unused android tablet that I forgot the PIN code to and had to wipe, so I’m ready to experiment with a FOSS OS.
CalyxOS
or
GrapheneOS
Which one?
Update on my efforts to get a static, multi-use QR code for Lightning payments, so my kids can receive payment for scooping doggy doo:
@hzrd149 helped me find my @Alby raw text LNURL and directed me to a Google tool that generated a QR code for it. It worked like a charm, BUT....not every wallet could handle it:
@Wallet of Satoshi: smooth as butter—instant sats
Phoenix: Also smooth—instant sats
Muun: Choked on the LNURL, thought it was a pull request rather than push
Breez: if you select the right option first, it worked, but it was very slow
Strike: Choked on the LNURL. Dang it!!! (This was the one I needed most to work) @strike @jack mallers
CashApp: Choked on LNURL but seemed to be ok with a generated invoice with a configured amount of sats. I gritted my teech, jumped through their stupid KYC hoops, and then discovered that I have to formally purchase BTC in order to process a LN invoice. I can't start with fiat and send it via LN (like Strike brilliantly supports).
So I'm partially there. Strike support for LNURL's would provide the lowest barrier of entry to plebs. Sigh....
One day--ONE DAY!--everything will revolve around freedom money. The future is here; it's just not evenly distributed. View quoted note →

Hi @Alby!
Is there a way for me to generate an LNURL QR code that is reusable?
Use case: My kids are starting a Dog Poop Scooping business in our neighborhood, and I’d like to have a QR code that any of their customers can scan with Strike and send payment—without requiring me to generate a custom invoice every time.
I’ve been told this is possible with Alby but I can’t figure it out. Thanks!
Still one of my all-time favorites 😂

#AskNostr Yesterday I used @Tony‘s habla.news to sign a long form post—a book review. It loads here (https://habla.news/a/naddr1qqxnzd3exqurzwphxucrwd3hqgs0as0se8a20ffgv4lt46y92j89pyxa5pxjpzwpn7up2eduyhhx8agrqsqqqa28hcz2jt) and is clearly associated with my identity, but none of the various Nostr clients I’ve tried will display that post in my feed. Why is that?
