Building a client worth a fuck still requires considerable effort. Anyone fading that probably hasn't made anything used by a significant number of people. I've made one for myself and it required time, money, and attention (primarily regarding security and bug fixes). Then there's maintenance after it's "finished" (a fleeting concept).

I don't pick friends or acquaintances based on finances. But this bites me sometimes. One example is being asked to help people move. My higher income friends never ask me for shit like this. They usually want me to play golf with them, have a cigar, pick my brain about something, or something like that. It's never to help move, fix their car, etc. I absolutely hate moving. I will pay rent increases for a very long time to avoid it. And even then I either pay someone or do it myself (I probably wouldn't do it myself at this point in my life). I haven't moved in six years and I have a completely different back than I did 😂 Pay a fucking 20 year old who doesn't have a back that's hanging on by a thread. These people typically move every year or two and blow money on the goofiest shit. I'm not saying I agree with it entirely, but I can see why social circles tend to form around similar financial situations. There's a time and health valuation aspect too.
