I overheard some normies at work (late 20s) complaining about AI being shoved into everything now. Not everyone wants this shit everywhere, regardless of what the hypers say. I've actually heard far more complaints than excitement.

It's a damn good time when people tell me I'm lucky that I don't have to work many hours. Had an old guy give me shit about it this morning at work.
Bitch. My truck has fucking rust holes. We buy used cars. We were buying used phones (now we get the Pixel A model and keep it until it dies or stops getting updates). We spend less than we make and save in honest money. We spend like $2k on a vacation every year (and didn't take our first one until last year in our 30s). We rent and invest the difference. When we do buy something, we usually research it and go for the thing that is made to last a long time. The Yeti coffee mug I take to work is beat to shit and almost a decade old (and filled with coffee I make at home). We rarely eat out. We budget literally every dollar monthly (EveryDollar app).
Get the fuck out of here. I see these old fucks spending every dime they make on bullshit and they have the balls to chuckle at me because I'm not there as much as them.
We're all lucky for not being fiat minded fucks I guess.
Lol End stage fiat

Slate seems to be addressing most of the things I hate about modern vehicles. The EV aspect is much simpler in most ways (I'd theoretically be in the garage less - or developing new skills if the electronics turn out to be shit ๐). I'm considering it as a small truck for my short commutes. Didn't think I'd ever consider an EV in the US. So far they're saying the right things.
Is the bull market still back on? Lol
I have to remind myself and others of this sometimes.
I'll usually frame it in different ways. One of my favorites is "150 years ago a young woman did something that created a lot of drama in her social circle. It was devastating to her. No one knows who they were or what the drama was."
