I highly recommend Tripp Lite surge protectors. I went through one of my phases several years ago and just remembered to share how excellent they've been.

I only recall one radio station that didn't annoy the hell out of me with ads. Actually, the station bragged about that as a highlight for their station. It's more ads than music every time I revisit radio.
