GM, Happy Sunday folks. Your weekly reminder that you should be getting more sun every day. Also, biblically speaking, the Sun's birthday, on a weekly basis. image

This is what happens when you give away your books for free. As opposed to the others which I get digitally for free on the high seas. image Looking forward to it @Max!

Okay just had an idea while being annoyed Amazon no linger allows third party links on wishlists. Namely, a wishlist app (kind?) for #Nostr. Composed of list items as records (name, link, image, description -- some of which could be optional). And then thinking maybe having it set up so that lists are either open or only for listed npubs to interact with to sign off on items being purchased. Not sure wide open can work as it'd be easy enough to grief (and otherwise how do you prove something was bought?), but maybe wide open just comes at the expense of being able to track purchased gifts. Seems both like something that can be a more general wishlist/registry tool, while also being a great opportunity to give normies a reason to interact with Nostr. And perhaps integrate with some of the sat economy with the various merchants we have in the space, such as the many in @Nunya Bidness 's Circle-P. May have to fire up Shakespeare and take a crack at the idea there, but throwing it out there lest anyone have high level design thoughts that aren't occurring to me in the first 3 minutes of exploring the idea. Software building ain't really my thing so insights welcome.

@Nunya Bidness re:humble before God: My two sats are, it boils down to accepting circumstances rather than thinking YOU know better about how things should be. Not to say not taking an active role in shaping the world as a steward of it. But allowing the world to be as it is, and not spending your energy on rejecting it. Hating that things are this way or that. Because doing this is in essence to arrogantly assert that you know better than God how things should be. Only when you accept things as they are can you allow yourself to learn from them and be made stronger by them. β€œI wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” That to me is humility before God.

I keep hearing on podcasts that sentiment around #Bitcoin is really bad right now. I'm glad to report that's the only real place I'm noticing this is the case. I assume they're all spending too much time on Twitter with the orange tie crowd Because for real guys, we're only down 50%. If my sentiment is down it's because I'm annoyed that we didn't get an 80% off sale. But I can't say I'm shocked after that sedated bull run. But really, Schwab is sitting around expanding Bitcoin to it's RIA's. How are we even measuring this sentiment? Just asking Elon's algorithm or something?

Finally, a hat worth wearing. For the discerning cowboy who cares about the privacy of his thoughts. image
