Brute forcing a specific privkey would require already having the pubkey to verify against (and this removes the latency of checking that privkey by querying the network with each attempt). It's a reminder of why an xpub should NOT be treated as public. That said, if you use a watch only wallet on a device the governmenr can spy on, yours isn't private.

GM. Dogs woke me up 3x last night, so definitely gonna be a groggy day, but I've got a yard full of leaves to rake now that we've gotten past most of those that are expected to fall. Might need to brew up some of my Lebanese coffee to get through the day but letting the Mud/Wtr and matcha do their thing for now. Sort of figures it'd happen like that after staying up til 10 last night reading, with a later night planned to night for Bitdevs (I normally go to bed at 8 -- yes, I'm an old lady). May need to interrupt the podcasts at some point today with some lively music and stomping around like a lunatic.

@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 one word for why I side with @ODELL on Bitkey vs ETF: chainsplit. You have an ETF, you get one chain, and no choice of which one. You have a Bitkey, you get both. That said, they're both shit options and both could rug you.
