I need someone to tell me how Kanojo Okarishimasu is still popular. Like, who is watching this shit? I haven't ever seen anyone defending it. Is it just for the girls? There's plenty of good anime with great girls out there.
Being in a meeting with a Spaniard, a Frenchman, and a German who all spoke poor English made me realize how much European languages have in common lol
I actually saw a bit of a similar case, not a insane, but still funny. It was when I used to work at a datacenter. It was a bunch of buildings which belonged to the client, and it was huge, most of it empty since the 90s. One day, the field support team had to be dispatched, and they spent two nights trying to track down a server cabinet they couldn’t find anywhere. Eventually, they traced the connection to a wire that led to an isolated section that was slated for demolition. The place was not only locked down, but the server wasn’t near the entrance, it was deep inside a section plagued with dust, rats, cockroaches, and spiders, as well locked behind 4 locked doors which they spent another week to find the keys for (they even considered breaking the doors). Why was the server there? No one fucking knew. And the best part: they just left it there anyway. No need to change what already works lol. View quoted note →
Playing Powrinata, oops I mean Pragmata. So far it’s been okay as an action puzzle shooter. Not many AA or AAA games since the DS and 3DS era have really leaned into this kind of hybrid gameplay. The last one I remember doing something similar is The World Ends With You and Henry Hatsworth. That said, the game runs into that modern design issue you see in stuff like BOTW or even Netflix-style pacing. It feels like everything is built around keeping the player or viewer constantly engaged. There is always something happening, something to pick up, something to upgrade. It ends up feeling a bit bloated. You barely get time to enjoy the lower tier tools or mechanics unless you go out of your way to slow down. It all feels very intentional, like it is designed for shorter attention spans or for streamers who need constant things to react to while talking to their audience. I am pretty sure I have already missed a bunch of dialogue from Diana because she reacts to EVERYTHING you did during the gameplay when you come back to the base. And man, the game really incentivizes you to return there, it feels like you are being pulled back every few minutes, at least so far. image
