3 MONTH NOSTR UPDATE - Its been 3 months of #nostr for us already. I have been thinking about what are the things that make this space special and different from traditional social media. Interest is a huge one. People are genuinely interested in discovering new things, and since many people who have come here have similar interests and values, its feels more like I have joined a team instead of entered a competition with other users. I think this is why we have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of followers we have got in a short time. We broke 100 followers in less than 90 days! Our goal is to have 400+ by years end. I think nostr is a space for creating and sharing solutions, while other social media is more of a space for sharing problems. On X or Fiatbook people seem to love complaining or spreading negative news, while nostr is about creating a better today and tomorrow! People are creating not just content, but apps, webpages, AI assistants etc. It really amazed me when I first joined. Also, nostr seems to have this aura of propping people up to display users contributions in the best light, where on other socials it can turn into fights and pissing matches really quickly. Been very impressed with the creative output of people in this space. Obviously I have been loving the music and music shows I have come to know on nostr and podcasting apps, but sometimes I get hit with something cool and creative that I otherwise would not have been exposed to. @Mot₿C Podcast is an example of this. It is a bitcoin audio drama that I will be listening to going to and from work over the next few weeks. This is an example of something I never would have thought to search out but really intrigued me when I heard about it. I am also getting into many podcasts I had no idea existed before. Other than all the great music shows I have mentioned in the past, I am especially liking @Avi Burra on @Plebchain Radio. It seems like his podcast had mainly to do with freedom tech and how they converge and work together, while having on some guests to talk about finer points within these subjects. Lately he has gotten a lot more into #v4vmusic and I am enjoying the Sunday Brunch editions! I also want to send out some appreciation to people behind the scenes that have offered a helping hand to us, but do not always get recognition publicly for it. @ChadF and 33 others is an example. He does so much work behind the scenes for other people on nostr, and literally was the first one to show us support here. He is also a huge reason why very soon our music will be completely decentralized and self-hosted. @boo-bury was another great help. He offered to virtually meet with me and discuss the process to make our music decentralized and some helpful tools to make it happen. Also thanks to @npub19ha7...q0fa and @marykateultra for incepting the idea in my head to go full #demu. We can't wait to get heard on your show in the near future! We are really looking forward to getting through 2026 and releasing more music for your enjoyment. We have at the very least 13 more songs waiting to be released into the #valueverse. The first of these is scheduled to be released on Valentine's Day! So we hope you can come feel the love with Strange Love and we can add a little more joy to your life going forward!
