I'm a Layer 1 purist, but only out of self-preservation.
It makes sense—you don't want anyone messing with Bitcoin.
The funny thing is the Lightning purists who only see attacks in any other type of protocol—like sidechains, Ark, or Spark—but turn a blind eye to attacks on L1.

Bitcoin's worst enemy is Bitcoiners themselves.
The hard part is making things simple and easy.
The Dictatorship of the Mediocre
Steve Jobs wasn’t a computer genius, but he was a visionary genius; he was the genius who brought UNIX to personal computers and cell phones. We could say that, thanks to him, UNIX is more alive than ever.
To be honest, I’ve always hated Jobs because I never considered him a computer scientist, but just as Jobs didn’t create UNIX or Bitcoin, only someone like him can bring Bitcoin to the masses—and that’s in our interest, because if Bitcoin reaches the masses, it will have a better chance of being used as money.
That’s why I find it curious—and above all, mediocre—that so many people criticize technologies like Spark or Ark. I’m aware of the risks involved, but so be it if that allows Bitcoin to reach the masses.
Bitcoin needs a Steve Jobs; Bitcoin doesn’t need more geeks or geeky apps.
Spark is a huge step forward; Radar is another huge step forward, whether you like it or not.
Go ahead and keep crying while using your favorite wallet with 3,000 options.
False dichotomy.
Andy Back is a fraud, and he's working to destroy Bitcoin.
Luke is a lunatic, and he's now working to destroy Bitcoin.

This is completely wrong on your part.
You can't beat the government using its own rules—that is, the laws.
To beat the government, you have to create parallel structures; you don't have to ask for permission.

Bitcoin is severely undervalued.
If you live in Europe and want to transfer 10,000 euros to someone in Russia, you’re screwed.
With Bitcoin, you can do it freely.
