Bitcoin Twitter is so precious. It will be shared here for the plebs to experience the 'Bitgasm'. Roadmap: Decentralized content distribution (Torrent, GIT, Nostr).
If you suggest Bitcoin Maximalists are a dying breed, we will not only show up in large numbers, we will also breed.

The fight for the future of Bitcoin isn't small blockers vs big blockers. It's a struggle against apathy sliding us into authoritarianism.

The opposite of bitcoin maximalism is barter maximalism: spend your life bartering hundreds of tokens so you can get rugged and enrich people who can make the tokens for free.

Government money printing:
2007 - 08: BILLIONS
2020 -21: TRILLIONS
People just don’t know how much bigger one trillion is than one billion:
One billion seconds is ~ 31.7 years.
One trillion seconds is ~ 31,710 years.
By the way:
21 million seconds is ~ 250 days. Buy #Bitcoin.

Let me get this straight. There are $100M exploits, $1B rug pulls, CBDCs that will get rid of cash forever, people losing their life savings on crypto scams and somehow #Bitcoin Maximalists are the problem?

For Cantillon effects, the only skill that matters is playing politics.
In a free market, any skill that someone needs in the market will get paid.
Fiat money increases the former by chipping away the latter.
#Bitcoin eliminates the former and makes real skill more valuable.

I was asked by a friend why I'm so obsessed with #Bitcoin. My answer is that it's because I understand it. When you truly understand #BTC, it's impossible to not be obsessed. It's the most interesting development in human history IMO.

Money is the most important coordination mechanism for humanity. This is why it is so important for it to be politically neutral, censorship resistant, and decentralized.

Difficulty-adjusted PoW is good for scarcity. UTxO model is good for privacy. Halving is good for censorship resistance. Blocksize limits are good for cheap validation. Even with a time machine, there aren't many cheap improvements we could make on Satoshi's design. Impressive.

It takes ~40,000 kilowatt-hours to mint a block, yet this power can't overcome a few lines of code being run on a 4 watt Raspberry Pi.

The current system is under siege by reality. We're quickly getting to the point where there's nothing left to eat but ourselves, economically speaking.
