What are the previous metals markets telling us?

Ask yourself:
- do you think the digitalisation trend will continue?
- do you think the monetary inflation globally will continue?
- are more people going to be keen on a sound money?
Then ask:
- what does the world look like in 5, 10, 15 years?
So:
- how do you structure a investment portfolio around that?
Would you:
- keep in cash? (0% interest)
- hold government debt? (4% interest)
- buy equities? (most are debt zombies)
Consider:
- real inflation
- counter-party
- volatility
- liquidity
Result:
- Bitcoin looks incredibly appealing
Bet:
- more people will realise this
Applying Daoism - Scott Dedels (JWP112)
npub1eawxwqldulz8rn80jug6n63seyn8pwelm9mmu7rdt622lfj7am9qgem0rx
In this episode I spoke with Scott Dedels—author of The Dao of Bitcoin and founder of Block Rewards—who's delved deep into how Daoist thinking can smooth the roller‑coaster that is life. He recounts how a basketball coach’s gift, The Tao of the Jump Shot, sparked a lifelong study of Daoism, which later merged with his work in the corporate world, and his discovery of Bitcoin as a tool to reclaim “time” from inflationary, attention‑draining systems. By practicing the Daoist middle‑path—doing enough without over‑forcing—Scott helped to teach me how to stay calm amid price swings, avoid the trap of endless consumption, and focus on what truly matters. He also explains Block Rewards, a B2B SaaS business that he's building, and a company with huge potential.
0:17 Scott on his second Bitcoin book and Block Rewards
2:09 The origin of Daoism in Scott's life
5:42 Mapping Bitcoin as a thing of nature
7:20 Bitcoin as a life raft or source of frustration
11:08 Scott on his "fiat career" and Daoist lens
14:30 The historical context of Daoism
20:53 Universal truths and approach to conflict
24:18 Bitcoin, Daoism, and the theft of time
31:11 Solving the wealth problem with Bitcoin
41:42 Block Rewards: Making money in and around Bitcoin

How would you allocate?
- 2026
- Feb > June - external renovation
- May > July - internal renovation
- quotes already received
- rough total cost in hand
- invoiced at completion of stage
- paid for with sale of Bitcoin
Do you:
- 1 - DCA out as and when you get invoiced?
- 2 - sell 50% now
- 3 - sell 100% now
Essentially, how do you manage the short-term volatility of Bitcoin, and known fixed costs on the horizon?
🤔
What a way to spend an hour on a plane! @Daniel Prince @RedTailHawk
First off, my wife and I always ask for “pat downs” with a medical exemption instead of going through the radiation scanners
What a ride it is going through airport security, even for a domestic flight, fully frisked for “my safety”, paperwork at every step, talk about a conditioning process for the controlled
Then there I am, in a small tube, going god knows how fast, looking out the window with my daughter next to me, thinkin about the past life work we had last year, and the story I was told about having known her soul before
How lucky I was to get to know her again (long story, but I was a pastor in another life, and travelled to Australia once before, lost my wife and kids, and befriended a young girl who was bulk used by her own family. That same girl is now my eldest daughter)
So there I am, zooming along, deep in thought, as all around me Netflix drivel is being devoured, and then boom…
Red just laying it down
- re-incarnation
- Mu
- archaeology
- propaganda
- plate tectonics
- ufo’s
- density
- light
Which ultimately got me thinking about control. The cypherpunks were so on point. The digital world is the perfect playground for control. Imagine trying to censor every bible ever written…?
Now all you need to do is capture a handful of tech guys, and the narrative is yours. The romans in their quest for centralisation would have paid handsomely for such abilities
A quick google search and it references “mythical” origins
Scent expunged
Gosh what a journey
We’ve got to keep asking questions, talking, learning, teaching, and exploring. F*ck these scenarios where the truth is purposely hidden

Thought Criminals - Contra (JWP111)
npub14hq5lgadtyy9dhvtszq46dnl0s0xwdddqr7e32rdqqhma8a4xhsspxjjzu
In this conversation I spoke with Contra, and dove deep into the concept of a “thought‑criminal”, - anyone who refuses to let algorithms and institutional “thought‑police” dictate what they believe or share. Using a recent Nostr post as a springboard, we explored why the emerging Purpleverse of Nostr, combined with Bitcoin’s monetary sovereignty, offers a practical antidote to the outrage‑driven, profit‑first models of legacy social media. Keep an ear out for insights into Contra's personal evolution - from a turbulent childhood, and a stint in the military, to a family‑centered life grounded in faith - showing how each stage sharpened his awareness of systemic control, and sparked a quest for genuine freedom.

Not going to lie, the last 24 hours have been really hard
Not because of some disaster
But rather the mundane, the daily grind, my duties as a husband and father, have just not quite clicked
Anger
Anxiety
Frustration
Sense of lack
Exhaustion
My emotional cup has been full, so any test, has tipped it over
Shouting at kids
Arguing
Making poor decisions
Feeling wrecked
As much as you’re working towards a vision of brilliance, sometimes things just don’t go well
The rough with the smooth
The hot with the cold
It’s been shitty
I keep trying to remind myself that it will pass
And as I write this, I think I am basically through it
Indeed, I am starting to laugh and cringe at the same time, as I think about what kicked me off
It was circa 7.30 last night
On the sofa with my wife
Watching some TV
Thinking we were in the clear kids wise
Then boom, one wakes up, interruption, then the other won’t go to sleep, then the other wakes up again
Until I find myself having hit pause on the show we were watching, having maybe got through 30 mins in 3 hours
😅😅😅
I was mad
“I’ve been looking after one of these things since 5am this morning, can I not sit down in peace ever?!?!”
Running through my head
Lol
What a psycho
And there it is. Me. I am the problem. My expectations. Children are unpredictable. Life is unpredictable. So really this experience is a reflection on me, that I am not in as cruisey a state as I thought
I must do more work on myself
Shit, and there I was thinking it was everyone else’s fault
Tomorrow I will better

One of the biggest challenges I have as a parent is to be present
I know these moments will be distant memories, the chaos of 3 young kids, ups, downs, and all around, will be looked back upon as EPIC
There’s no question of my role
I am needed
Constantly
During the day
At night
Always
It’s exhausting, but awesome, filled with different challenges, triggers, tasks, problems, emotions, relationships, and it’s life
I wouldn’t want it any other way
So trying my best to breathe, slow down, savour the moment, and proceed
Shout out to all the parents out there, learning by doing, and navigating as best they can
🙏🏻
I often bump into the idea of "building on the shoulders of giants", which in this instance, the problem of private communication, once again I am reminded of how grateful we must be to be building today

Anyone buying STRC?
Heart goes out to any Aussie families caught up in the bushfires
Woke up this morning to the smell of smoke
And just swept ash off the back terrace
Intense start to the year
What do you hate more:
- price dumping?
Or
- price pumping?
90k is a great BUY
Watch over the next 6 months as retail actually wakes up
And suddenly there are lines of people wanting in at double these numbers
Great time to stack for the man on the street
