there isnt a way to finish the sentence "I am ______” in a way that is always true. all we can really say is "I am" after that, everything is arbitrary best guess

if "dont trust, verify" is going to be an axiomatic rule for living, seems to me we should start with the basics. So have we verified there's some persistent "self"? most people seem to just assume it exists, i guess because theres a body walking around?
