I would edit this to “…those fighting against the suppression of information and the distortion of published data.” Inscribing to the blockchain doesn’t make it truth. It also doesn’t prevent the inscription of counterfeit and altered data. I’m still skeptical of Ordinals, even for noble causes.

Cash app is probably the way to go for onboarding those completely new to Bitcoin. It’s the app that most are likely to have heard of. Then get them over to Strike so they don’t have to deal with the $2k withdrawal limit. From there it’s a cold wallet. Bitkey from Square is fairly easy to set up and having a third party involved will make some more comfortable. No seed phrase so they won’t have to worry about losing them. These are obviously negatives to some of us, but it’s all about using technology that fits a personal risk profile. Finally, move over to a Cold Card. That’s likely a long journey though.
