The following two photos have one thing in common: both subjects in the middle of the photo are carrying a bag with the colors of the Venezuelan flag. However, here that bag is known as "the bag of misfortune" because it was a gift from the Venezuelan government to low income people, and that's how people usually identify those who use them. #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

I took the next photo because the neighborhood landscape in the background reminded me of the favelas in Brazil: image #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

I want to share a set of 19 street photographs. It's a diverse collection with a lot to see. One thing all these photos have in common is that they only work well in color, as color is a very important element in each one. I hope you like them! I'll start by showing you this photo of a man laughing. He walked past me and said, "Hey, take a photo of me!" Of course, I did. He just laughed without stopping or looking at the camera, resulting in this perfectly natural and spontaneous shot! image Sticking with the green tones, I'd like to share this photo I took another day in a different place. The light was hitting a tree beautifully: image That same day, very close by, I saw this avocado tree. I was so surprised it was full of avocados! I framed it the best way I could to get as many avocados as possible into the shot: image Continuing with the greens... I found it very curious to see a chair in the middle of so much overgrown foliage: image I took the next photo because the neighborhood landscape in the background reminded me of the favelas in Brazil: image Now I'll move on to another topic. The next three photos have something peculiar and common: In Venezuela, grocery stores often hang bananas outside their shops. I've always found it very curious that they do that, and it's extremely common to see it everywhere: The following two photos have one thing in common: both subjects in the middle of the photo are carrying a bag with the colors of the Venezuelan flag. However, here that bag is known as "the bag of misfortune" because it was a gift from the Venezuelan government to low income people, and that's how people usually identify those who use them. Another day, in another place, a totally different photo: in Venezuelan butcher shops, it's very common to see animal parts hanging, as in this case, a pig's head: image Heavy work: this man was filling the back of a pickup truck with water jugs, one by one. image I took the next photo because I found it very curious to see flowers for sale next to a pile of rocks, creating a stark contrast between the two elements: image Something else I've been doing lately is photographing car license plates that form a word, like this one that says "FBI." image The following six photos share the same theme: PEOPLE, an element with a lot of strength in street photography. All these five photos were taken on the same day in the mid town of my city. First, I'll show you my favorite photo. I found it very beautiful to see a baby sleeping so peacefully in her mother's arms amidst so much urban chaos. image A few seconds later, in the same spot, I saw this scene and found it very symbolic to see the old man walking slowly and the child running in the opposite direction... image The protagonist of the next photo is the man petting the dogs, who were probably asking him for some bread: image I captured a man in a moment of introspection, almost as if he were praying: image The anonymous heroes who keep our city clean: image I hope you found this glimpse into life in a Venezuelan city as interesting as I did. Thanks for everything! #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

At the end of this part of the photo session, we realized that we hadn't taken any standing photos, so we tried. First, the girl put on a crown, and we took this photo: image #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

told you, she wanted her photos to be quite feminine and a bit sensual without being vulgar or explicit. image #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

image To make her idea a reality, the girl brought a very interesting black outfit that contoured her body without showing anything. We started by taking some photos with the posing cube and without using accessories: #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

image I'm back with a new set of photographs I took in my studio, this time for a girl who wanted some photos for her birthday (which is the most common theme I do), but she wanted the photos to be a bit different; she wanted them to be quite feminine. #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

The first clothing set we photographed was this sweater and leggings combo. The brand's idea is for the clothes to be comfortable for exercise but also look good and highlight the feminine figure. image #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

Working with models always makes my job easier because they know what to do on set, which saves us a lot of time and makes the photo session flow very smoothly. image #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

image Remember how I shared a sportswear photo session with you a week ago? The brand owner liked the photos so much that she told me she'd hire me again for more, and she kept her word! A week later, she contacted me to do this photos, this time with a different model! #photography #photostr #art #artstr #plebs #plebchain

image Let's talk about money. How do you all organize your monthly expenses? I'll go first: For context, I've never had 'extra' money, or what I'd consider a 'secure' amount. In my line of work, some months are really good, and others are slow. Because of that, organization has always been crucial for me. So, I created my own system that has saved me countless times. The first step was figuring out my monthly 'survival' cost – strictly no luxuries or extras. This just covers food, personal hygiene, fixed expenses, and transportation. Anything beyond that is a bonus. In addition to that, I stay 'one month ahead' with my expenses. For example, right now in June, I'm saving the money I'll use in July, and I can't touch it until July. (My June money was earned in May.) In reality, living in Venezuela, my 'survival' cost is roughly $150-$180. So, this is the amount I need to earn every month to know I have the next month 'secure.' Anything I make beyond that can go straight into savings. That's why my first few days of the month are always laser-focused on earning that initial amount. What I do to complement my system is keep savings. Like I said, some months aren't as good as others, and honestly, with how unpredictable things are in this country, it's absolutely vital to have money put aside for emergencies. For me, I try to have at least two months' worth of my basic expenses saved up. I've had a couple of setbacks lately, so I'm way below where I should be, but I'm diligently working to build that buffer back up. Because of that, I'm not spending on anything extra until I hit my savings goal. This whole system helps me feel a lot safer in a country where everything else feels so uncertain.
