Feeling Vata vitiated. Woke at 3am to wind gusts ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ. Drifted in and out of sleep until my alarm abruptly interrupted my dream of eating pastries and sipping coffee at a French cafe. The energic qualities of wind are the same as Vata dosha and include being dry, light, mobile and cold. Red lentils Red lentils have a sweet and astringent taste with a cooling energetic. Light and dry, they are balancing to pitta and Kapha. However, the light and dry qualities may cause bloating in individuals with a Vata constitution or Vata imbalance. Red lentils are sattvic as they have a calming and soothing effect on the mind. They are nutritive, strengthening and also detoxifying. They can be beneficial in liver disorders and improving skin complexion. #ayurveda #foodstr #foodismedicine image

Leveraging ancient universal principles of vibration (energy), Ayurveda offers guidance on dietary and lifestyle choices to promote maximum wellness -- physically, emotionally and spiritually.
