Sometimes I feel like we're one of the last players in Risk or Sid Meyers Civilization. It seems like China will consume Asia, Russia will consume Europe, Israel is making a play for the Mid East, the US gunning for Central and South America.
It's a resource run to build up as things change. The US is behind though because it focuses to broadly and has financed Israels run for their goals. Africa will be used as a resource farm for all major players unless someone else steps into the game.
I'm probably way off, but power projection wise seems like those are the players. Any which way you skin it global power is shifting and the landscape of everything has changed geopolitically. The US hegemony is faultering and governments are trying to stay relevant and are grasping for as much control as possible. Sad to see the world act this way.
