We kicked off Chapter 8 of the #Bitcoin Diploma with an introduction to the Lightning Network—covering how it works, the process of opening/closing channels, and the differences between lightning and on-chain transactions. We also broke down Lightning wallets (custodial vs. self-custodial, open-source vs. closed-source) and explored practical use cases with tools like @npub1m7r9...ny2w, @BTC Map, and @npub155m2...dcvg. The session wrapped up with a lively Q&A packed with great questions. Huge thanks to Tobe for leading and @Scarlette_Tumelo for moderating! Financial Literacy for Students 🌍 This Wednesday, September 3rd, Bitcoin Africa Story will host a pilot program at His Touch School this summer — introducing participating students to the basics of money and Bitcoin as a digital innovation.
