PoW⚡️: Bullish on Yesterday’s Session! We just wrapped up an incredible Chapter 10 of the #Bitcoin Diploma! We dove deep into "WHY BITCOIN"—starting with a revision of our last session, followed by an engaging class activity to explore the Philosophy of Bitcoin and understand how it differs from CBDCs. We also discussed the benefits of Bitcoin and wrapped up with a lively Q&A session. Plus, we made some exciting announcements about our upcoming online graduation and in-person meetup! None of this would have been possible without the outstanding @My First Bitcoin curriculum and the expert guidance of our tutors. They made complex topics simple and clear, ensuring everyone walked away with valuable insights. A huge congratulations to our students for their incredible progress throughout the program! PoW⚡️: Bullish for Friday’s session! We continued Chapter 8 of the #Bitcoin Diploma and explored custodial and self-custodial Lightning wallets, their importance, differences, and a hands-on practical session on how to interact with both using @Blink Wallet and @npub148qm...jra7, including wallet recovery. We also encouraged students to explore other Lightning wallets that might suit their needs. To demonstrate the Lightning Network’s speed, we held a Lightning relay race where students passed sats using their Lightning wallets, from the first student to the last in Group A. It was exciting to see sats flowing back and forth—from students in Africa to Australia and beyond—with everyone actively participating. BITCOIN AFRICA STORY TURNS 1!🥳 One year ago, we set out on a mission—to educate, empower, and drive Bitcoin adoption across Africa. Today, we celebrate a year of relentless Proof-of-Work! HERE ARE SOME OF WHAT WE'VE BEING ABLE TO ACHIEVE IN A YEAR: ➡️ Introduced new people to Bitcoin through our physical activities, Bitcoin Diploma cohorts, educational content, and dedicated efforts. ➡️ Hosted our first physical Bitcoin meetup. ➡️ Made awesome Bitcoin Friends. ➡️ Created Bitcoin content and tutorials on Bitcoin wallets, and game (@Blink Wallet, Electrum Wallet, @npub1hm63...zr0p & more). ➡️ Spoke at a Bitcoin Conference in Nigeria (Naija Bitcoin Conference) where we shared insights on our efforts and also shared Bitcoin stickers gifted to us by @NoWasteBTCsigns. ➡️ Orange-pilled strangers, shop owners & even spoke in church on Bitcoin. ➡️ Took Bitcoin to the streets of Lagos, Ikorodu, by randomly introducing Bitcoin to the people. ➡️ Became a LIGHT NODE with @My First Bitcoin and launched our online Bitcoin Diploma Program. ➡️ Graduated 20 Bitcoiners into the ecosystem and expect to welcome more. ➡️ Ran 2 successful online Bitcoin Diploma cohorts, are currently running one, and expect to run more. ➡️ Built a growing Alumni network for our graduates, where we aim to offer mentorship, support their Bitcoin journey by sharing resources, and host monthly sessions with expert speakers to provide deep insights as we plan bigger opportunities for them. ➡️ Inspired and contributed to the efforts of RETSHEPILE, an alumnus of our cohort, and his team in building a Bitcoin-only project in South Africa called Bitcoin Sisonke. ➡️ Collaborated with amazing Bitcoin education initiatives—including @The Core - Bitcoin Education, @Bitcoin Ubuntu ⚡, @Yes Bitcoin Haiti, @Stackmore, @Bitcoin for sports and fitness , @Gabe Birkan, & more—to educate alongside us in our Bitcoin Diploma Programs and empower our learners. And many more achievements we might have forgotten to mention out of excitement! 🥳 This is just the beginning! Thank you to everyone who has supported us in one way or another, including through our @Geyser and to everyone who has learned and grown with us. Bitcoin is the future. PoW⚡️: We are excited to share that we've completed Chapter 5 of the #Bitcoin Diploma, where we explored "How Problems Lead to Solutions." It was truly an eye-opening session for everyone, with @Bitcoin Ubuntu ⚡ leading the interactive session and @BlessedDan co-hosting. Activities were conducted, and valuable insights were shared. Now, we're looking forward to learning about Bitcoin in our next session. Truth be told, since the first session, our students have been eager to dive into Bitcoin.
