I paint in oil. Inspired by time, silence, and light. Each work is unique and for sale in Bitcoin. β†’ https://isolabellart.it.com Paintings notes: #isolabellart Art gallery: https://gallery.isolabellart.it.com
Presumo zero.
Someone told me: "You should paint more modern things. More contemporary." Maybe yes, maybe not. But I don't paint for 2025. I paint for 2125. Trends die. Truth remains. If in a hundred years someone looks at my paintings and feels what I felt painting them, I'll have done my art. Everything else is noise. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
"Painting is the art of slowing down time just enough to see what was always there." #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
I painted these three within a short time of each other. Same palette. Same light. Same question: what does turquoise hold? image Three moments where sky and sea forget where one ends and the other begins. They weren't meant to be a series. But they refused to be separated. Some things belong together, even when you don't plan them to. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
Moments like this remind me why I chose this path. A painting leaving the studio to become part of someone's daily life β€” that's the real exchange. Thank you for welcoming it home. πŸ«‚πŸŽ¨ View quoted note β†’
Someone asked me: "How do you decide the price of a painting?" Sincerely, it's not only math. It's not just time + materials. It's: how much of myself did I put in there? Is a painting I struggled with for weeks worth more than one that came easily? Not always. Sometimes the simplest painting is the most honest. And honesty has no price. But it must have a price to be exchanged. So I choose a number that feels right. Not too low to devalue the work. Not too high to exclude those who truly love it. And then I let it go. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
#Art doesn't need permission from galleries. #Bitcoin doesn't need permission from banks. Both are peer-to-peer. Both are sovereign. Both threaten institutions that profit from gatekeeping. They said: "Art needs middlemen to have value." They were wrong. If you want validation from the system, chase galleries. If you want freedom, accept Bitcoin. 🎨
A photographer gave me an image. Asked nothing in return. I painted it. When it sells, he'll receive recognition. No contract. No negotiation. Just trust. This is what's possible when artists stop competing and start collaborating. #art #nostr #collaboration ( Thanks @Goldgraphy )
(Chalk sketches on embossed paper) image I'm about to paint something most people won't understand. Four abstract paintings. No recognizable subject. I know they probably won't sell. But after painting clouds, flowers, and waves, I need to ask: what remains when you remove everything? Art isn't always meant to be bought. Sometimes it's just meant to be asked. #art #nostr #silences
I set my prices in Bitcoin, not dollars. People say: "But Bitcoin moves. Your prices change every day." Exactly. Dollars lose value silently. Bitcoin makes you conscious of value. When someone pays 500,000 sats for my painting, they're not buying with inflated currency. They're buying with sound money. That changes everything. #bitcoin #art #nostr
I spent 30 years not painting. Then I came back. People say: "You lost so much time." No. I needed those 30 years to understand what silence means. Now I paint it. The detour was the path. #art #nostr
image "But did you copy from a photo?" Yes. And no. Photography captures a moment. I paint what that moment makes me feel. The photographer sees the light. I paint the silence inside that light. It's not copying. It's translation. From one language (photography) to another (painting). And in that translation, something is lost. But something new is born. That's why collaboration works: the photographer gives the image. I give my interpretation. We both see the same thing. We both say it differently. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
image April 2022. My wife's portrait. This painting changed my life. Not because it was perfect. It wasn't. But because it reminded me why I'd started painting, thirty years before. Before that painting, I was a graphic designer who had forgotten he was an artist. After that painting, I became myself again. I don't know if my art has improved since then. But I know it's become more true. And truth is the only thing that matters. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
My paintings have titles like "The Waiting Thunder" or "The Last Ember." Someone asked: "Why not just call them 'Clouds 1, Clouds 2'?" Because a title isn't a label. It's an invitation. "The Waiting Thunder" tells you what to look for in the painting. Not the thunder itself. But the waiting. The silence before. The title is the door. The painting is the room. If the door is right, you enter. #art #artstr #painting #isolabellart
image If you've been following my work, you know I only accept Bitcoin. No banks. No intermediaries. No inflation diluting value. Every painting I've made β€” from the smallest clouds to the largest landscapes β€” is here: Prices in sats. Dimensions. Details. The photos don't zoom (BTCpay limitation), but if something calls to you, DM me. I'll send close-ups, answer questions, talk about the work. Sound money for sound art. That's the exchange. #art #artstr #bitcoin #isolabellart
