I 3d printed a part for my bandsaw. I have had a bandsaw I have been trying to get back up and running for a couple of years now. My biggest hiccup is the guard holder. I bought a whole new bandsaw blade guide since the one on my used bandsaw was crumbling due to bad metal. Well, I have had a number of problems, but the last one was the blade guard. It wasn't built right, and I wans't sure what to do about it. Well I finally thought about it and this piece isn't critical to be metal. Just sturdy and the right size. So I took the one I had re-designed it and 3d printed a replacement, and it fixed my issue perfectly. I am so glad it fixed it the first time too. The new workbench is done. It is 30”x8’. I used a lot of new techniques. Then I sealed it with a quart of polyurethane. Minus the casters or only cost about $150. I had use permanent casters because mistakes were made. 😂 I made a bunch of mistakes. From mismeasuring to not accounting for planing boards down in the design. I am excited it is done and I can move on to some more projects, after I clean my shop… again. #grownostr #woodworking #diy #homestead

Sometimes in life you use a tool and you think “I am dumb not getting this sooner”. My father-in-law had one of these and it is amazing. So now I have one too. 🤣 Interestingly when it comes to grease I was researching grease to use on my farmall. The manual says “Use IH grease”. Well what grease is that? After doing a bunch of research someone hit me with some wisdom. My tractor is nearly 80 yeas old, the cheap grease is better@than the premium grease 80 years ago. We finally got this shed put together. What is super interesting is it was cheaper to get this than to build one from wood the same size. This is 8’x7.5’. This will really help get all the garden equipment over to the gardens 🤣 and out of my shop. Now to finish fixing a mower then maybe I can start on house renovations. #grownostr #diy #homestead

I got my grandparents tractor going again, big win for me. My dad was down helping brush hog and ran it out of diesel. All we had to do was loosen lines to get fuel to flow again. I released a new video on YouTube today about using spray emitters with your drip irrigation system. I don't like straight drip because the locatino of my plants move year to year, so I wanted to spray. However, with raised beds the solutions haven't been great so I finally figured out polytube, and spray emitters. In the video I walk through using them, and show putting them in place, and a bit on how I organized them. The slide is up and the kids love it. It went decently well building it. My other kids wanted to help so it got real crazy real fast. Not sure if they enjoyed it or got anything out of it, but I will assume they did. If nothing else they saw how things are built to put that little nugget in their head. I am building a platform for the kids play set to add the slide to. My daughter really wanted to help, which I am not good at. So I took this evening and precut everything so all she needs to help do is line things up and make sure we are square. I am also hoping this goes quick enough it holds her attention.
