Get to spend the day with my wonderful wife on a little day date. Off the the Exotic Pet Expo and then some lunch somewhere.
Enjoying a nice French Press of FTO Blonde Espresso while I check out my Nostr feed, then off to walk the pooches. It got cold over night after the storms rolled through. Dropped about 25 degrees. Cold week ahead with some overnight lows pushing single digits F.

Finishing this bag of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe this morning. Not sure what is coming up next, but I think I have a new coffee scale showing up to test our today.
Mild and partly cloudy day today and then tomorrow we are looking at 3" of rain and spiraling into second winter for next week.
Heading to town for groceries and laundry today. Hopefully there is no excitement, but you never know. Normally a decent chance something notable happens on my Friday trips.

I saw a question this morning asking "What Is the Matrix" I was curious about what would come of a conversation with ChatGPT with its restrictions on certain types of outputs. I was surprised with the final answer
The Matrix—not as a sci-fi simulation, but as a vast, invisible system of control—is woven from propaganda, gaslighting, social engineering, and psychological conditioning. It is an intricate web designed to shape perceptions, dictate behaviors, and suppress independent thought, all while keeping its subjects convinced they are acting of their own free will.
This Matrix does not require physical chains; it thrives on mental and emotional manipulation. It is built through education systems that prioritize obedience over critical thinking, media narratives that construct a false reality, and social norms that pressure individuals to conform out of fear of rejection. Governments, corporations, and institutions all play their roles, reinforcing the illusion that the system is natural, inevitable, and even beneficial.
Pillars of Control in the Matrix:

Chilly morning here with continued heavy rains. They are already expecting the TN river to crest at 5' over flood stage. Gotta take the long way to town since that closes the road between here and there.
The dogs are getting upset they are not getting their 2 full long walks the last few days with the rain, but I am enjoying the excuse for extra coffee since it's been cold and damp.
