Been on-and-off working on a new article for the past 3+ weeks now and it should be out soon. This has taken me down many rabbit holes because my aim with this one is to get us all toward and understanding of what the Future holds. I'm talking decentralization as a pillar of progress and what that looks like played out 50-100 years from now. If we don't have a vision for what the world should be like for our kids and grandkids then the stakes of the game are not high enough yet. And no, AI is cool but it will not be your pet - more likely the other way around.

The command to spend toward the emancipation of slaves is the earliest economic policy commanded by Allah in the Quran preceeding the prohibition of riba. The fact that "Islamic Finance" does not focus on debt relief is yet another deviancy of modern Islam.

The core issue of riba is exploitation and "Islamic Finance" and "Sharia Compliance" does nothing to eliminate this risk, but rather enables religious and government institutions to continue exploiting the populace using "Muslim" language.
