GM Nostr friends. Coffee in hand, SAD lamp fired up, inner geek out to play. I've been playing with my new #Meshtastic node, and I love it. I live in a group of townhomes, so not really allowed to scale any poles to put up a transmitter, so I'm stuck in a "I can listen, but I can't send messages" black hole. I can't get my Wismesh high enough anywhere to make it worthwhile. Sigh. Hopefully I remember to bring it with the next time I'm out and about - maybe I can finally contribute to the local chatter. #MSPMesh Quiet day here otherwise. Lu has been really needy lately, so I'm trying to figure out what that means. She has started jumping up to paw on the side of my office chair, and wants me to pick her up so she can sit on my lap, and then wants to lick my hands while I'm trying to type. This is new behavior, and it worries me a bit. She will be 13 years old in April, and I don't know if she's trying to tell me she's in pain, bored, or just in need of extra affection. 🤷🏻‍♀️

GA Nostr friends. Happy Sunday. Quiet day here. We had Bible class and then regular church this morning. Lu didn't pee or poo in the house, thankfully. Her eyesight is getting fairly bad, to where she won't see one of us in a room unless we're making noise and moving around. It's sad to watch her aging. Hubby has officially commandeered the VR headset I bought as an attempt to entertain myself through this season. He found bowling and mini golf games, so I guess there goes that. At least one of us is using it. On that note, I have some tea calling my name. Enjoy your last hours of the weekend!

GA Nostr friends. What do we think, Nostriches? I've begun to hate my Umbrel device that Hubby was so kind to buy me a few months ago. It works for a few days, but then ultimately manages to freeze up our entire network until it's disconnected the router has been rebooted. @Oshi (推し) recommended Start9, which I did have installed an on old desktop for a while, but was kinda meh about because it didn't offer as many apps as Umbrel. Now I'm wondering about backing up all my movies and other files, and possibly repurposing the Umbrel as a Start9 device. Any thoughts? Is this just a terrible idea?
