Good morning Nostr friends. Another cold one (it is winter after all), but not as bad as yesterday. You know it's cold when the hairs in your nostrils freeze up. It's a very peculiar sensation. Just drinking my coffee this morning, browsing my feed and discovered the wonderful Wordle knock-off, WORDS. Nostr-friendly, and I had to play. Definitely had to get my brain into high gear - it wasn't a particularly hard one, but I wasn't sure what the different colors meant until I locked a letter in the correct spot. Ahh, satisfaction. ARGH. I'm bereft, utterly and completely bereft. I just finished a 19-book series. The next one doesn't come out until September. SEPTEMBER. 😢

GA Nostr friends. Went to the dermatologist and had a couple small chunks scrapped off my skin today for biopsy. Not really expecting bad news, but never hurts to keep on top of my health, especially as a pale freckled white girl. Thank you to all the plebs out there who have been recommending tallow as shmear for their skin in the winter time. I ordered some recently and have been using on my face and dry skin. This has got to be the first winter I don't feel like my face is just going to crack and fall off with the cold. Definitely notice a difference when I don't have any on (or Lu licks it off).

GM Nostr friends. Frigid cold this morning, with -12F here right now. After I got Lu back in from her 10 second pee this morning, I realized the downstairs bathroom door was closed with the fan going and the light on. As Hubby had already left for work, I opened the door to find Lu had pooped on the tile in front of the toilet at some point last night. Wasn't fun to clean up (and no thanks to Hubby :blobdoubt: ), but I took care of it. Y'know, it was actually pretty smart of her. Whenever she's had to poop in recent history and I wasn't around to take her out, she goes in the bathroom. Rather unfortunate for the rugs we had in there, but makes sense in a doggy sort of way. Anyway, I'm off work today for MLK so just sitting on the couch with my laptop and iced coffee (I know, I'm weird, but it tastes really good today), just enjoying one of those videos of a fire in a fireplace with calming background music on. This is mostly so I can calm down and not have a conniption fit at Hubby when we message later today, but I'll take it for now. Enjoy your day, all.

GM Nostr friends. Woke up from chaotic stressful dreams this morning, but it was so good to sleep in my own bed again. We have the gas fireplace going right now. Lu didn't want to stay outside to do much beyond one fast pee this morning. Considering it's in the single digits outside, I don't blame her. Bible class and then church this morning. GM Nostr friends. Greetings from the southeastern MN/WI border town of Red Wing. Hubby and I traveled down yesterday afternoon to have a good meal, spend the night, and head home this morning. The room had a whirlpool in the bathroom, so I woke up to Hubby submerged and up to his neck in warm water, content like a cat in a beam of sunshine. ☺️ He does like being warm, my boy. We had a great dinner inside the cozy hotel restaurant while it snowed and the wind blew like crazy outside. Heading home fairly soon, but it was a much-needed getaway. GM Nostr friends! It's quite chilly out today. I am sipping my coffee slowly and trying to absorb its heat. Kind of sore from forgetting to stretch after a stint on my stationary bike yesterday. My own fault. Yesterday while I was on campus in meetings, I found and plucked a hair off the underside of my chin. It was a long one. Grossed myself out. I can only imagine what my coworkers think. I have gotten somewhat feral working from home so long! 😂 Have a good day, all.

I just checked out nostr.blue earlier, and while clicking a few tabs sent my screen real estate kinda wonky, it seems like a really cool instance to check out more in the future. Excited to see all the things people are building! That's all. I'm tired today, so not as wordy as usual. ☺

GA Nostr friends. Lazy Sunday after church. Had a long nap, and still haven't gotten up. Lu has been snoring logs for a while, but it's time to take her outside. Neither of us want to go.
