First post running on a Raspberry Pi 500!
Only issue so far is that it doesn't seem to like my Contour Rollermouse. Keeps freezing, which makes me think it might be overloading the USB port...? Will have to do some more testing.
The keyboard is solid. No number pad off to the side, which is kind of a bummer, but using it primarily for personal stuff I shouldn't miss it too much. The micro HDMI was a bit of a bear to wrestle. I have a docking station between my peripherals and my work laptop, so I had to tear that apart (and will have to put it back together before work tomorrow), but otherwise I'm quite pleased.
Bought a 256GB micro SD card instead of the standard that came with the device, and will plug that in shortly. Just wanted to get everything set up first and take it for a test run.
Next up, connecting with my Start9 server. Poor Hubby will just have to watch Youtube by himself while I play.

GM Nostr friends! We got another Wednesday on our hands.
Did some bowling with Hubs and our mutual friend (who actually introduced us) last night, and I am sore from it this morning. Getting old is not for the faint of heart.
My Raspberry Pi 500 is supposed to get delivered today! I needed something cheap since I turned my old System76 desktop into a Start9 server. Very excited to get it and start playing around.
The building siding project continues. Very hopeful they'll make enough progress to get past our unit today so the hammering is not directly outside my window.
Go enjoy your day, all.
Vibe app idea, feel free to steal: Waze (traffic app), but for Nostr. Incorporate points of interest from other Nostr apps, run of top of OpenStreetMap. I would happily pay for an app like that. Especially if it could handle live traffic data and US-based addresses.
Listening to Wavelake's Top 40 while I review my never-ending bug list for work. Find myself skipping a few tracks that don't jive, but really digging @Man Like Kweks
Dropped Lu off at doggy daycare today, as they started working on replacing our building's siding yesterday. The banging noises are giving me a headache, even with noise-cancelling headphones on. (I can feel it through my feet.)
I'm trying to get away from the super toxic Youtube Music for my primary music listening app. (Hubby subscribes to Youtube Premium, so we get Music for free.) Any good options out there for mainstream tunes on an app that will work with iOS?
Sorry friends. I'm doing that begging for Sats thing. Could someone send me one or more? I switched to a different mint on Zeus, and want to make sure things are working. Will send back to you!
Very tempted to jump on the 'post an invoice and see what happens' train today, but I think I'll refrain this time. βΊοΈ
Church in a bit, and then relaxing today. We've had a wild couple of days, and they were so much fun. Time to relax and prepare for the upcoming week.
Have a good Sunday, all!
GM Nostr friends. Hubs and I decided on an impromptu overnight getaway to beautiful Red Wing, MN yesterday. Had amazing tacos last night followed by rainbow sherbet, and headed out soon for some coffee and pastries before we check out and head to an antique store.
Not even 24 hours away from home, but the time with him is everything. π₯°
Have a good Friday, all!

I'm very tired today. Hubby is even tired-er. We just got through the second of two nights of pretty bad thunderstorms here, and Lulu was an absolute mess of shaking puppy.
The street in front of our townhouse is a miniature lake today due to the massive amount of rain last night, and the storm drain clogging. Unfortunately, our street leads directly to the hospital down the road, and there are always people who are late for their shift, so they plowed right through it. I felt bad for the cars parked - they've been getting dirty rainwater baths.
Going to go drink my coffee and hope I wake up enough to function today.
On my walk this morning, I cam across a dying bumblebee stumbling across the sidewalk. After a little coaxing, I got her to crawl onto my finger. It was obvious she wasn't doing well from the way she crawled across my hand, and I knew she was soon to join the many curled up black and yellow bodies I've been seeing around the neighborhood lately.
Couldn't find any good flowers to bring her to, so I got her over to a small rock pile off the sidewalk away from possibly being stepped on. It made me sad to walk away, and I realized I was likely the last living thing she would ever touch.
Really makes you think how delicate and fleeting life is.
Very unimpressed with today.
My dad tried doing me the favor of taking Lulu in for her groom appointment today, and a guy in the left lane decided they had to take a quick right into a parking lot in front of him and bashed up his left fender. Lu doesn't have a seatbelt in Dad's car, and the impact threw her on the floor. (She's okay.)
I went over to sit with Dad at Petsmart and help him file the claim with his insurance (of course the guy that hit him only stopped long enough to see his old boat of a car was fine, and then drove off).
Have now spent a few hours trying to get things sorted for Dad as much as I can.
Gave Lu part of one of her new treats after we got home, only to have her get up and run around frantically shortly after. I tried taking her outside, but it was absolutely pouring and she would only go back inside. She then proceeds to poop and puke in multiple places on the living room rug.

I must've smacked the back of my left hand hard against something yesterday, because now I have one of those semi-invisible bruises that HURT when I barely touch the knuckle. Ow.
Quiet day ahead, I think. Hubby and I went searching for a taco truck last night, but the two that are always in the same spots weren't there. (Figures.) We ended up driving a little further to find a collection of mostly Thai-food trucks and I got some Pad Se Ew. It was delicious.
It's super humid out today (I think it stormed big big last night, but my half-awake recall is hazy), and it feels like I have to swim when I go outside. Bleh.
Have a good day, y'all.
Figured it was time for a Lu pic. Teef. #Dogstr

I had planned on meeting up with a couple friends for a late breakfast today, but one messaged to day she's having panic attacks and can't join us. I have been praying for her this morning, but not a lot else I can do.
Ran out of iced coffee, so I'm finishing off some blueberry pomegranate green tea from Trader Joe's. Not sure if I should eat breakfast or not.
Oh well, nothing written in concrete today. Go out and enjoy your Saturday, all!
