GM Nostr friends. Well, we're definitely not in a fire zone anymore. It's absolutely pouring and the wind is blowing hard. Lu was so excited for her morning walk, but as soon as I opened the front door, she started backing away. I ended up dragging her outside for a quick pee. She was very disgruntled when we got back in. Poor girl hates being wet. I've been working on getting a query working on and off for almost three days now, and it's driving me nuts. Maybe the crappy weather outside will keep me focused and possibly have a breakthrough with the fields that aren't playing nice. Fingers crossed on that. Stay safe, have a terrific Tuesday all!

Morning Nostr friends. Storms on the way today! It's been very unseasonably hot here for May, so I'm excited for the temps to drop a bit. Plus, who doesn't love a rainy day?

GM Nostr friends! It's Tuesday! Hubby is officially moving his mom into her new assisted living facility this afternoon. He's stressing big time about it, because she feels he and his siblings forced her out of her house. It's a big to-do. She keeps falling, can't keep up her own hygiene or take care of the house, and generally has a pretty bad quality of life on her own. (Medium-level hoarder.) I'm praying the adjustment period is short and she grows to find things she likes about the place and makes some friends. Other than that, just a busy day at work ahead. I'm behind on my Zepbound shots due to some issue with my insurance and the pharmacy, so have to put on my big girl pants and call them today to figure out what's going on.

GM Nostr friends. Have to leave in half an hour to go get my boobs squished. (Mammogram) Not exactly thrilled about it, but my maternal grandma had breast cancer, so yay early detection! Dental cleaning this afternoon, too. I'm getting out of all the meetings today. Not exactly a super fun reason, but apparently I wasn't paying attention to my calendar when I scheduled everything. Oops. Another unseasonably hot day ahead of us here in Minnesota today. Right now, I have the windows open because it's gorgeously cool. Will be turning full cave troll later in the day and closing everything up when the heat hits, but until then I'm appreciating a breeze. Go out there and grab Monday. Give it a big sloppy kiss.

And we're back. Life wasn't so much busy as it was just bleh this week. My Zepbound shot took me down hard, with lots of nausea. No puking thankfully - I have a phobia about it. My doc is okay with me staying on my current dosage, instead of increasing up a level like I'm supposed to at this point. It's honestly kinda wreaking havoc on everything. I have a dentist appointment on Monday where I desperately want to avoid throwing up on my hygenist. So...here we are. Made it to Friday. My MIL is moving into an assisted living facility near us next week, but gets the keys tomorrow, so Hubby and his brother will be spending most of the weekend getting her basics moved in. Heeeere's to the freakin' weekend. 🥂

GM Nostr friends! Happy Friday. I've been doing protein shakes all week with a couple bloops of Javvy coffee concentrate. It gets the job done, but definitely not as satisfying as sipping a regular caffeinated beverage. Kind of chilly out today, so I wish I had opted for my regular pour-over. Oh well. GgggggggggM Nostr friends. It's May! I'm counting down to the debut of Murderbot on Apple tv. Been working my way through the novels, and super excited to see how it translates to live action. There are workers in the neighborhood this week doing...something with replacing cables along my street. Really hoping they avoid knocking out my power and internet. 🤞 Just feeling really grateful today. I have a job, home, sweet hubby, and puppy that I adore. Thank you, Lord for all you've done for me. Hubby's coworker recommended a movie to watch called The Beekeeper, starring Jason Statham. Now, I'm a fan of bad movies. Especially ones that know they're bad. This, however...I have no words. It's SO bad. And I think it's trying to be a serious action movie. Oy.

So this is random, but I've asked Hubby and he doesn't eat bananas (texture thing). For those of you who do enjoy a good banana, what say you about the veins? Do you just eat them, or peel them off before eating? I always peel them off, feels gross just knowing I'm eating one.

GM Nostr friends! Went to dinner with Hubby and a couple friends last night and had a delicious chicken piccata with a side of angel hair pasta and mushrooms. Very grateful my stomach hasn't acted up from all the butter that was in the dish. Getting back on track today with a protein shake. Gorgeous but slightly chilly morning. I have to keep reminding myself that it's technically still early spring, so I can't expect summer temps just yet. Hump DAAAAAAAY!

GM Nostr friends! Had a fairly busy weekend, so I'm actually a little glad to be back to work today. We're in for some severe storms today. Getting some thunder and lightning now, but the rain itself isn't too bad yet. My poor pup hates thunder, so this could be a very long day for her. Happy Monday!
