Snowstorm did not disappoint. Heavy, wet snow with crazy wind gusts shut down all public transit in the Cities (for now). I'm guessing we got about 7" over night, and another inch or so after Hubby shoveled the steps for me around 6:30 this morning. Very happy to be warm inside with a cup of tea, watching the wind bow the tree across the street. Here's to a cozy work from home day. ☕

Snow storm is beginning! Hubby managed to clean out his side of the garage in time to pull his car in before it really started coming down. We'll be snowed in to some extent tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a cozy day. GN Nostr friends.

GN Nostr friends. Been busy over here. Husband's house is officially sold! Snafu with getting his check - ended up with our Realtor. I'll be picking up the real one tomorrow. Took Lu to the vet today. Vaccines and healthcare for dogs is so expensive in any money currency! Very tired here, so I'm going to scroll for a bit and then get to sleep.

GM Nostr friends. Found out yesterday that my boss is retiring in April, and if things go the way I think they will, my team's second in command will take over, and then I have to look for a new job (some bad blood there). Sigh. Have a good day, all.

GM Nostr friends. Walked the dog, made some cereal (ahh, once in a while it tastes so good), and am currently sipping my coffee and reading my Nostr feeds. Planning on some vacuuming today, and then have to finish a book I've been putting off so I don't fall behind in my reading challenge. Hubs called and we talked for a bit this morning. It was good to hear his voice. He's only gone until tomorrow, but we're rather attached and I miss him.

It seems today is just one of those days. I forgot to mention that cleaned water dish got fumbled by yours truly and shattered on the kitchen tile. Thankfully when I got back up to my desk, no one noticed I wasn't participating in the meeting, so at least I got that going for me.

Dog was acting weird this morning, so I came out of the office to see what she was doing. Looked straight down (we have an open concept living room) to see her butt backed up to her water dish, taking a crap. There was already a neat pile of vomit on the carpet. Spent most of the rest of the meeting muted with camera off to get her cleaned up, food/water area cleaned and sanitized, and carpet scrubbed. Sigh.

GN nostr friends. Already tucked into bed on this cold night. Hubby took an Advil PM a while ago and is already snoring. Feeling blessed to be safe and warm tonight.

Decided to start (re-)purchasing some music tracks that I used to own, but have since lost from the early 2000s. Doing a quick search leaves me mostly with Amazon or iTunes for mainstream mp3 music stores. Ick.

Is there anything better than a Sunday afternoon nap?

GM Nostr friends. Snow cleanup has already happened this morning here in MN. Woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of plows working in the alley. Finished breakfast already, and debating another cup of coffee while I ice my leg on the couch.

Beef roast in the crackpot waiting to be devoured. My leg is somewhat throbbing now that the numbing has worn off. Snowing outside, and a movie waiting to be watched. This is a good day.
