Drove 1,151 km today and the last hour was through some healthy flash flooding. Left Asunción at 05:30 didn’t get to my hotel until 19:00. The only calories I consumed all day were 3 gas station cappuccinos and the leached microplastics from the styrofoam cups. I am the David Goggins of travel. Stay retarded.

Paraguay is filled with 4 door midsize diesel trucks. Hilux, Ford, Chevy, VW and Nissan. All manuals. Need one. How the fuck does a small economically stunted landlocked South American country have vastly superior vehicles than the U.S.?

Some of my favorite parts of travel are the random local gyms you find. Went to “Mister Muscle” yesterday and the owner was the absolute man. He was super welcoming and cool in every way. Built a badass DIY gym and all the homies from the block are there pumping iron daily. Excellent vibes, Mr. Paraguay 2017 was even in there yesterday too, still jacked asf. Went back today to buy a tank top from the MMA side of the gym (different owner) who wasn’t there yesterday. Both such good dudes. The owner of the weight lifting gym was giving me shit for not working out today. OG “train everyday mentality” but all in good fun. $15 well spent. Apex keepsake. image

The state is a known enemy of its subjects. Theft, tyranny and violence are the foundation of their organization and rule. I would never under any circumstance allow known bad actors and enemies to raise my children. Can’t believe it’s so common.

Saylor has villain vibes to his core and I trust that instinct. But he is also hyper-intelligent, very experienced and has deep connections in fiat-world. I think he will be able to keep the strategy scam solvent indefinitely.

Argentinian Malbecs are fucking insanely good and consistent. Literal random $5 bottles from the corner store are better than any wine I’ve ever had in the U.S. I don’t understand….

Hungry. Haven’t eaten today and it’s 16:30. Get a seat at a bangin parilla joint. Order bife de chorizo, waiting patiently. Bro brings me fried mandioca and a bevy of sauces. Refuse to eat the mandioca fritas as it smells and looks amazing directly in front of me. “Stay hard” image

Cementerio de la Recoleta. Asunción, Paraguay. It’s 93 degrees and that’s pretty warm. Still crushing miles. image

Very underrated part of adventure travel is going somewhere you had no idea existed by chance. A place you e never heard of or seen a single picture. The internet has really blown apart the mystique of popular places and that does bum me out. But there are so many hidden gems out there.

Not a mark in the sky here and a brilliant blue when clear. There are two regional airports that get commercial traffic daily for Iguazú and Foz do Iguacu (Brazil). The falls are a big attraction and I’ve seen many midsized passenger planes coming and going @El Zeta
