Happy Thanksgiving everyone :)

Thought I would put this on Nostr because of Thanksgiving Week coming up. This year has been a mix of good, bad and sad. It’s a surreal time to be alive when you find that your life is truly going in an upward trajectory in regards to love, spiritual, physical and financial strength while your friends and family seem to be struggling so hard. We’ve got loved ones who have passed away in both tragic fashion and in a life long lived fashion. We have loved ones who families have been torn apart by divorce. We have loved ones who have discovered hardship both physically and mentally. Pretty much all of them are struggling financially. While all of this is going on my wife and I have become the stable voices in an otherwise chaotic world. In so grateful to God for the ability to listen and do the hard work to get to where we are. I’m grateful to the Bitcoin community for teaching me so much about how to critically think. I’m truly Thankful during this Thanksgiving for all the blessings we have received. #Thanksgiving #Bitcoin #God #Jesus

This clip from the movie Blade Runner perfectly encompasses my concern that over the course of time I will be forgotten to history. I don’t have kids. I haven’t built a business that I can hand down. I don’t really have any real legacy worth noting. I do however have in “real time” happiness and peace. I have an amazing wife. We live happily. I’m good with that reality. I have come to the conclusion however, that unlike personal possessions that will erase with hands of time, Nostr has the ability to travel across time as a means of preserving my existence. Before I’m old and tired I will pass my Nostr keys to the universe and my thoughts and ideas will be preserved in digital memory for all time. That makes me content.

I love this clip from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The poetry in the words expresses a perfect feeling of “missing the past”. I sometimes wonder if we have entered a new 1960’s era with the emergence of Bitcoin and Nostr. Unlike this clip however, I don’t believe we have hit “The High Water Mark”. If anything we are just beginning to see the ripples of a massive future wave.
