I've seen this tweet multiple times in my feed, and every time I see it, I stop to reflect on all the ways it pisses me off. image

Finally got my hands on an Xbox Duke controller (no thanks to the post office). It is as beastly as I remember. image

Elon is now going to learn the futility of starting a new political party in the US. It's probably going to be a funny endeavor, sad, but funny.

So OpenXenium modchips go for like $50 now? What? Lol. Gonna try out the new ModXo setup on this Xbox. I like that it's Raspberry Pi-based.

I was thinking about getting on here and doing some blackpilling. I was real tempted. Then I saw the video of the General Lee jumping over a fountain in Kentucky. Not today, its not right.

Time to look at this other Xbox I bought and never cracked open. I've been calling it Schrödingers Xbox. To my suprise, it powers on, reads discs despite having a Thompson drive (wtf?), but let's see if the caps are barfing all over the inside. image

Tom Skinner said to enjoy some golden nectar later today because it's Friday, and I earned it, so I plan on heeding that advice. It's good advice. 🍺

I remember when Halo 2 dropped in 2004. Everyone loved the multiplayer but bitched about the campaign. Now in 2025, with the benefit of zooming out over 20 years, it's clear we were bitching for the sake of bitching, the campaign is fantastic.

Things happened. We're back up and running, cable management ain't pretty, but it's working. It was a good opportunity to check capacitors though. Reminder folks, check your OG Xbox capacitors every so often. image

Nostalgia for the 2000's is a weird thing. I put an aero theme on my phone and played Halo 2 last night, we're also starting another war in the Middle East. We just want to go back. WMDs and LAN parties. Thats what everyone wants.

Dogs are such a weird animal. In all honesty, this animal should have mauled my kids to pieces by now (she probably would have been justified) - but she is fantastic with kids. So patient and gentle with them that I feel guilty if I don't cook her something if I'm using the grill. And that is the evolutionary relationship. (She got her own piece of chicken tonight btw).

I listened to the Tucker and Ted Cruz episode. Some hard hitting questions and interesting exchanges, but unfortunately no answer to why Ted Cruz's dad was involved with JFK's assassination.

There has to be some German word with no English equivalent for feeling bad for someone or something that does not deserve your sympathy. Anyways, spending some time on my OG Xbox kind of bums me out when I think of what Xbox is today.

They added third person mode for Resident Evil Requiem for people like me. I don't care if it has a 100 on Metacritic, I'm not playing a first person RE. They tried that twice, I'm not biting.

Ah yes, and now the agorists are coming out of their hobbit holes and tar paper shanties to finger wag everyone that wanted Ross out. The thing that annoys me most about agorism is that agorists always feel superior for existing in the world others create for them.
