I don't have many takes on tariffs. Taxes are bad, and tariffs are a form of tax. When pulling the levers of statecraft though, I can't really say what's the preferable, less evil mix of the two. It is clear that adding tariffs to the existing tax structure is bad however.

Y2K Amish. Civilization peaked in 1999
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and Massholes.
The Pokemon franchise is basically the 80's hair band of video games. Yeah Game Freak been putting out shit all these years, but no one cares, they just want the hits from long ago.
Both my kids like Pokemon - they like all the ones that were there in 1999.
To do historical fiction you have to understand and respect the period you are writing about. If you just steal the aesthetic and then stuff a bunch of modern sensibilities in it everyone will quickly realize that you never cared in the first place and your project will fail.
Kids these days and their newfangled meshtastics. Time to see what all the hoopla is about.

I already own the Master Chief Collection for Xbox One. If rumors are true and it gets released for the PS5 I'd probably double dip on it. It would a similar feeling as when Sonic Adventure 2: Battle dropped on the GameCube.
I keep hearing about the $50 million worth of condoms for Gaza, and honestly, America First.
I propose that we pick one home in the country at random, lottery style, and airdrop $50 million worth of condoms on it. Why? It would be funny.

There's a long list of games that are actually shit, but everyone loves them because the graphics are good.
I'm sorry Brits, Shadow of the Beast was always shit. I know you love your Amigas but every time I see something about this game in my timeline I'm left scratching my head.
Don't be so hard on boomer memes. They're an updated take on dad jokes for the online age. Yes they're terrible, but that's the charm.
I get there's the whole MAHA thing going on, but how about an EO bringing back Cooler Ranch Doritos. Not Cool, Cooler.
The OG Doritos can stay the same or go back to "Cheesier", I dont care. Chef's choice.
The Doomsday Clock might be the most longlasting examples of fear porn propaganda thats ever existed.
This stupid metaphorical clock has been around since the 1940's. It's at 89 seconds today. It was at 7 minutes during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Gimme a fucking break.
In some alternative universe, the British Empire still reigns supreme, and is sailing around the globe hunting down everyone on the planet who doesnt pay their BBC TV license.
It's not a malicious attack, everyone is just asking this thing about Tiananmen Square at the same time for the laughs.

My dog doesn't get fed from the table (sometimes I'll put some meat in her dish). Ever since she was a puppy, she's never tried to take food
...with the exceptions of pancakes. I could leave a whole Thanksgiving dinner on the table unguarded without issue. Pancakes, not so much.
This one has eluded me until now, although I've absorbed some of it through osmosis over the years. #bookstr

I wish there was something out there that showed how many users are using each client. I see a lot of posts about Primal being some existential threat to the protocol because it does X or Y...is this just more nostr drama?
I'll be happy when incandescent light bulbs come back. LEDs are fine for most uses, but dimmable LED bulbs are complete shit.
"Oh nooooo. It's a digital asset stockpile and not Bitcoin only!!! See my tears?! They're real!"
...Yeah, I don't give a fuck. Halting CBDCs for 4 years is a win.
If the key to immortality is forcing your family members to share their boner data with you (and the internet), I'd gladly choose to stay mortal and die.
